Not sure if this would be considered a bug or not... but I found it quite difficult.

We recently changed our IP schema on our network which changed the IP of the LDAP server. I didn't worry because I had added myself to the always allow list. The only problem was that it wouldn't let me in because it couldn't find the LDAP server. So it looks like it trys to find the server before it checks the allow list. If I disable my account on the LDAP server it will still let me in if I am on the allow list, so that much is great. but if for any reason it can't find the LDAP server it won't work.

I ended up getting it to work by adding a redirect on my firewall temporarily till I could change the IP in the setup. But I just thought you should know this information.

One other thing though...
I can't seem to get the authentication to work now. It worked GREAT before... all I did is change the IP address and now it says incorrect login! every time. I didn't change anything on the LDAP server and Auth Settings except the IP address. So this really ponders me. If you have any light to shed i would appreciate it!

I ended up adding a forwarder on my firewall and getting in that way. If anyone does know a workaround it may be worthwhile posting here so this post wasn't a total waste of space :) Thanks XOOPSTERS!!!!

I'm using the LDAP active directory hack. I need to know if there is a way to change the configuration without going to the admin side of the site.
Our IP schema was reconfigured on our network and so the IP of the LDAP server changed. I had myself as always allow login but it won't let me in... it says that it can't find the server. (I actually had three users on this... and they worked before, but after the IP change it won't work).
So is there a way to temporarily disable the hack? or remove it? or a way to adjust the configuration? The only backup I have already has this configuration installed.
I really don't want to take down the network just to switch things up. Thanks for your help!!!

I'll try it out and see if I can get it working
(it just took a little perspective twisting )

well that is the code you gave me.

what I want to do is something along these lines:

Quote:

if ($GROUPID OR NAME) { include XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'FILE TO INCLUDE'; }

elseif ($ANOTHER GROUPID) { include this file...; }

etc... etc..

else { include default file; }

I ended up getting it to work in a round about way.
I downloaded a module for dummy purposes... in this case CJ-content. This made a link in my menu. I then added blocks to display on that module according to the group they are in. IE group 1 views block 1, group 2 views block 2, and so on. And I left the content of CJ-content blank so that all that shows up when you click on that link is the block I designated for that group. It works really good, it just is a really weird way of doing it. If I could do it with something like above it would be a lot better.

I would try redownloading the core files uploading then updating the system module.

my 2 cents

If you follow the link on the top... that will get you to all the options.

I have it set up for San Martin (my local town) so you'd have to set up an account for your local town. Then if someone wants weather outside of that town it will open up a window when you put the zip or city in.

Since it is done entirely in flash... I don't think there is a way to pull it up from a drop down menu. Unless you ran some if statements and created your own form. Which called up a different weather profile for every drop down menu you specify. it's a thought... if you really would want something like that.

Here is the code I used:
if it helps at all

<script src="http://netWeather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netWeather/runNetWeather.js" language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://netWeather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netWeather/setNetWeather.js" language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"></script>
<div align="center"><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" >
RunNetWeather ("id", "netWx", "minversion", "6,0,0,0", "movie", "http://netWeather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netWeather/netWxCheck_P?id=8885096623376&l=C&s=3&n=VERJQ0tTT04=", "quality", "high", "src", "http://netWeather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netWeather/netWxCheck_P?id=8885096623376&l=C&s=3&n=VERJQ0tTT04=", "width", "245", "height", "450", "name", "netWx", "align", "top")
</script></div>

I also gave up on the weather modules and desided to design my own.

check out the following link
http://netweather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netweather/netweather_index.asp?

sign up and add the html to a custom block.
works beautfully!!!
