Thank you so much! I deleted all the pictures and re-added them, and now it's fine! Bless you!!! Quote:

Actually, it is the thumbnails and the mid-sized ones that are affected. The full-sized ones are perfect (click on the mid-sized images). So the problem is in the reduction process. Why would I be having this problem while others are not? And choosing the GD2 instead of the default GD1 worked for the person above... I've tried all the options, including ImageMagick, but nothing changes...

Thank you for the reply, but the problem is still there. Yes, the jpeg quality is set at 100, the thumbnails are plenty big enough (I think they're at 200), and I've selected GD2. You can see my gallery athttp://brunais.com/modules/xcgal/. See the problem I'm talking about? Quote:

Some kind of pictures let them easier compress then others. When there are no large objects or colour fields on the picture, you will end up with a grey square. See also to have a large range of contrast and good colour balance.
Did you set the quality of jpegs to 100?
Make the thumbnails also not too small eg 128.
Select GD2 for resizing.
And then it will look decent. But it will be a thumbnail after all and not a full fotograph.

I've selected each of the options in turn, and there is no difference... The thumbnails all look horrible. What do I do?Quote:

I don't know which version you are using, but try this, from my first post in the module comments

It's also important to select the right GD-lib version to get decent quality thumbnails. The default setting is for v1, but most servers will probably have v2.

Suddenly admins can't access admin area!

Hi! I've had my church's website up for a couple of months (www.brooksidefellowship.org), but all of a sudden, for no reason, I can't get into the administration area! All four people designated as "webmasters" (mysql user rank of 7) are not able to get into admin areas. Any ideas as to why this would happen, and what to do??? I haven't changed a thing!

I tried going into the database to see if the permissions were reset incorrectly, but everything there looks fine, as far as I can see... Can anyone help me?

I'm using: XOOPS v 2.0.17
MySQL v5
phpMyAdmin - 2.10.0.2

Thanks so much!

Francine

Hi! Thanks for replying!

Yes, I have Frameworks uploaded; see screenshots. I'm assuming I did that right... Is xoopseditor also necessary, and if so, do I just u/l it like I did Frameworks?

Thanks so much!

Hi! I'm running cbb 3.05 on XOOPS 2.0.17 using a MySQL v5
database. The location is at
http://www.brooksidefellowship.org/modules/newbb/. The
problem I'm having is that I'm not being given the
option to post - not even admin is given the option!
I've tried setting the permissions to post over and
over, but that particular permission doesn't seem to be
getting set, like it's not going into the database.
Other permissions are being set just fine, but not
posting permission.

Here are the error messages I'm given in debug mode:

Hi! I'm using XOOPS 2.2 and newbb, and can not get the notifications to work. I desperately want my forum to work like Yahoo groups, where the new post is sent out with full text. Is this something that just doesn't work yet in newbb?

Thanks!

Francine
