Is there any way, using the News module, that I can "ping" the popular blog-tracking sites such as weblogs.com or technorati? If not now, how could I set up XOOPS to send out an RPC request? Thanks in advance.

Technorati's ping page
Weblog.com's ping page

That doesn't seem to be the problem. The group "Anonymous users" can access all blocks and modules.

Module "News": Not allowing anonymous users access--how to allow?

On my site, anonymous users cannot access

http://www.shareyourfaith.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=47

which is currently the first "Read More... | 1 comment" link on

http://www.shareyourfaith.org/

What do I have to change to let anonymous users get to here? All my other links seem to work for anonymous users, like:

http://www.shareyourfaith.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=40

(it works fine for logged-in users)

Thanks in advance for your help! This is a bit frustrating, but I know there's an answer out there.

Is there an "About Us" module? I want to have a section that shows, for selected registered users, all (or some) of the information in their profile. Alternatively, the module could perhaps display biographical information independent of the profiles--manually entered. Anything like this already exist?

That did it! Here I was looking for a option in the News Module, not in the site-wide preferences. Thanks.

I would also like some more information here? Thanks in advance.

I have the "Recent News" block up and running. Basically, I would like the Top Page of my site to display all the "Recent News" just the same as the display if I choose the "News" module itself. As it is now, it only shows the first few lines of each news item without any "Comments" option, etc.

This seems like such a basic feature. How can I do this? Do I need to change the template? Thanks.
