Hi,

I have to make a forum for my companies website (it's in HTML). There's a database and everything attached (MS SQL).

Is it possible to install everything needed to run XOOPS ( but in a way that the original website stays and I use Xoops
to put a link in the original website for a forum)

So what i mean is; XOOPS running "inside" a normal website and only taking care of 1 single link to a forum, so without conflicts between databases, webservers etc etc or should i find a forum in HTML or something?

I do not have much experience with websoftware and databases so bare with me please.

Regards,

Filip

Hi,

Try this link https://xoops.org/modules/repository/visit.php?cid=43&lid=1178
When using a diffent theme then "default" u should make your own logo still.

Hi,

The link you provided should be more then enough.
You don't need XOOPS code.

Also look at http://www.w3schools.com/

Hi,

You want my opinion?
There is nothing wrong they just want you to make a new one for free or give them their money back.
The logging in twice : they probably log in using a different page every time.
Not loading the site : maybe heavy serverduty or they just have bad lines?
The reposting thing : when you say same date etc. they haven't changed #OOPS#.
The code : most people do hate code (me too and I have even been a programmer in my younger years :) )

Why not use the newer version 2.2.3, PHP 5

Filip

ps still noob with XOOPS so don't believe everything I said :)

Hi,

First of all, the search fucntion of XOOPS is (imho) crap so I have given up searching.

My question ... I have 2.2.1 installed, do i need to go through the upgrade to 2.2.3 and after that the 2.2.4? or can I just upgrade to latest immediately.

Regards,

Filip

Hey,

Try making (finding) a backpackblock if available in the list.

Apparently nobody is awake. Can somebody try the module on their website?

Hey,

Just ignore it, turn your debugging of in system settings.
That is, if everything works like it should be.
