Site search needs whole word option

anybody noticed if you search for "war" you get Schwarzenneger and Warren Beatty..anybody have the code to add a whole word option to the site search for xoops2 ?

News module - Disable auto line breaks

he module called "articles" is a news module with the following check box in the news submittal form:

Disable auto line breaks (should be ticked when using WYSIWYG editors).

I wish i had this option in news 1.3 (dhtml editor) for the obvious reasons, which is what I am using for news on my site ,Sometime I like to just copy and paste a pre-existing html page to a news article.

why don't i just migrate to "articles" news module..it has other issues making it unusable.

so I am stumped..why doesn't News 1.3 have this very useful and time-saving option? Is there a hack for this?

How does theme.html work? in xoops 2

I add something to theme.html but I don't see it on my site..it acts as if it was previously compiled and I don't know how to get a fresh recompile. not sure how those non-html tags are procesed?

Help?

Custom block only show with a particular news topic

How can I tie a custom block appearance with a news topic chosen?

i.e. custom block with Political book titles only shows when News Topic of Politics is chosen or an article of topic Politics is being viewed

move xoops 2.0.9.3 from sub dir to root

any nice and safe easy way to move XOOPS 2.0.9.3 from a sub dir to root dir? I already have lots' of articles posted and much set up work done. I'de hate to have to re install and lose everything .. I also already have a sub-domain pointing to the site. but not so sure if submitting my sub-domain to search engines is so Kosher.

I tried a FTP copy to root dir ,got some wierd errors from Cute FTP,.

any suggestions?
