Hi all,

I am looking for an evennews alternative, because evennews does not work properly with XOOPS 2.2. An updated version (later then 2.01) or hacked version is fine aswell.

Or is there anyone that did get it working with the new XOOPS 2.2, because evennews is basically working, it just does not send the newsletters to the subscribed members.

The Linux server is using sendmail. If I send the e-mail to the webmasters only it works fine, but as soon as I send the mail to all users who subscribed to the newsletter it fails. There are 195 users in our evennews database.

Hello all,

I am having a problem with evennews in combination with XOOPS 2.2. Evennews basically works fine on XOOPS 2.2 however, when I try to send a newsletter from evennews, evennews says it sent the newsletter to the listed users while it hasn't send the newsletter at all (tried various times with various e-mail addresses and the mail just doesn't arrive.)

Sendmail is configured properly because I can send messages through an XOOPS contact form on my website.\

What could be the problem?

Okay thank you kindly for the reply, looking forward to XOOPS 2.10

But with the News permissions. I didn't just mean the News Module (only used that for example), but all XOOPS modules that come shipped with xoops, For example with

Polls:
Can View Polls
Can Post Polls
Can Edit own Polls
Can Edit others Polls
Can Delete own Polls
Can Delete others Polls

Sections:
Can View Document Category X
Can Create Documents
Can Edit own Documents
Can Edit others Documents
Can Delete own Documents
Can Delete others Documents

etc...

Hello all,

A feature I would love to see in XOOPS would be an integrated permissions system. Thus being able for example you got Group abc and instead of just setting which blocks an user got access to you can also set other stuff an user has access to. For example:

Group can Edit Account
Group can Delete Account
Group can use the Private Messaging Sytem

by also other permissions like:

User can post news
User can edit/delete news
User can lock news etc...

Meaning more control of what your users can and can't do.
