well the problem on my website is gone! it works fine (I hope it will last) and as I told you ... it was probably a problem with the server...

I didn't change anything and now it works!

Patience ... I will move to a dedicated server soon..

any further progress on that?

any more ideas?

Winterhawk... are all the XOOPS sites you are managing on the SAME server and running the same XOOPS version?

I have a feeling that such a problem might come from a misbehaving server, since the messages might go through with the 3rd or 4th try...

I have pretty much the same problem from time to time..

although I've seen that on Internet Explorer and Opera as well...

I don't know if it is the autologin hack or a crappy database server...

Did you come to any conclusions?

I have experienced the same problem a few times and since nothing has changed (in terms of modules and coding) on the website and the problem is not present constantly ... the only answer is "Problems with the server"

and particularly with SQL server...

Well guys (and girls) here it is ..

have a look, unfortunately the only way I found to be able to autodisplay the last news on the front page was to use the normal Spotlight and XMS Spotlight together..

I sort of made them look alike...

have a look at the result and I am also waiting comments for the new design-theme (although not in english)

Cheers

I am working on it, trying to make it a bit more compact with fewer empty spaces and probably 6 categories..

I will get back once I have something worthy

well it works now.. :)

need to do some work on it, how difficult a hack will it be to display some text for each category (in the 4 squares below) and maybe add a couple more of those squares? :)

I guess at the moment it cannot pick the latest X posts and put them in the spotlight automatically can it?

Thanks
