Thanks very much. I figured it out..

But am I right in thinking that all the different rights systems are a bit complicated?

Access rights, block rights, and then the modules setup on top - what is visible/not visible for groups of users etc..

It seems like it could be done in a better way somehow. I mean, I coudn't do it, don't get me wrong.. Just seems like somehow, somewhere in the developing if XOOPS this perticulat bit got overly complicated, or??

Apart from that a great product!

And thanks for your help.

I am having a huge problem with bewbb2. When logged on as webmaster it works fine. I can view, edit, delete - the lot.

But when logged on as just a user, when I go to the forum, the topics do not show. Nothing shows really - try it:

www.ulrikpoulsen.dk/greenroom/modules/newbb

I have fiddled around with acces rights and the only way I have come up with to make anonymous and registered user able to see the topics is to give them FULL admin rights.. And THAT ain't good.

Am I missing something here? I am finding it difficult to keep track of admin rights they seem to overlap each other in many different preference pages.

PLEASE HELP!!

So I should just copy the entire HTML-folder in the Beta3 release (the one including class, include, kernel and modules folders plus a variety of files) to my main XOOPS folder?

But won't that delete all my exsiting modules and just replace them with the standard XOOPS modules again?

Quote:
Upgrade from 2.0.9.2, 2.0.9.3 or a previous 2.0.10 beta by uploading all files in the 2.0.9.2-2.0.10 beta 3 patch and update the system module.

Now this scares me.. If I upload all these files, surely it will overwrite everything I have in my xoops-folder?? Or should I manually upload one after the other?

Also..

Quote:
This release contains files for the core-included versions of News and Newbb (1.1 and 1, respectively). If you use Newbb 2 and/or News 1.2 or later, you should not upload the files in modules/news and modules/newbb as they will mess up these modules.

How do I find out if I am using Newbb1 or 2??

Can anyone help?

Thanks Herko and Mithrandir - hopefully this will solve the problem.

And by the way, I am very impressed with Xoops!

This does not seem to be working. Has anyone got a fix or hack for it?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

All I get is a blank page when pressing the submit button and the notification does not take place.

Please help - this is such a vital part of forums. To be notified...
