Hello,

After upgrading Apache and PHP to the latest stable Versions (2.0.54 respectively 4.4.0) everything seemed to work fine (apart from the fact that I didn't seem to be able to load PHP as a module but used the CGI solution instead)

So today when I log on things start going weird... sometimes a page would look just fine, sometimes I would have the XOOPS admin Header displayed two times along with the menues twice, sometimes I would just get garbage output (In several modules, not just one... namely cbb, sections and wiwi)

Garbage output looks like this:
<img src="/cms/modules/newbb/images/imagesets/default/folder_big-
a.gif"
style="width: 18px; height:12px; margin: 0px;"

Does anybody have a clue? Else I'll just have to roll back to older Apache/PHP versions which seems rather silly to me :-$

Thanks everybody!
Stefan

honestly....

how about you try typing your operating system in google along with the keyword "FTP", that might help you find a program.

FTP is a plattform independent protocol and has been around loooong before windows ;)

Hello there,

is there anyone with Koivi still on his Harddrive? The Link on the dev page has been dead since the hack and I'm desperately looking for that module:
xk_editor class v1.0.52.1.zip

Thanks everyone!

in mainfile.php, where you can define the site adress, you may have entered the local instead of the "outside" adress.

so instead of something like:http://192.168.0.1/xoops/
try enteringhttp://www.domain.com/xoops

for me it even works by just typing /xoops (relative path) but that might not necessarily be your case.

greetings.

Hello everyone,

I've now read a couple of requests from people wishing to install e-mail adresses for all the users of their sites. (somewhat like this: login@mysite.com)

I thought of a way of realizing this but I haven't yet found a way of actually doing it. Maybe somebody could give me a hint:

If I manage to find a mailServer Software which uses MySQL i could somehow link its tables to the XOOPS tables.
It would look something like that:

[mailserver]/[mail alias]/[Alias Name]
should be equal to
[xoops]/[xoops_user]/[uname]

AND

[mailserver]/[mail alias]/[redirect adress]
should be equal to
[xoops]/[xoops_user]/[email]

So automatically for every account in XOOPS there would a an alias in the mailserver programm and mails would be redirected to each users normal e-mail adress.

I hope people understood what I was trying to explain, my knowledge of both, MySQL and English, being as low as they are :)

Greetings and thank you for any help.

Stefan

hello everyone,
I'm really stuck here:
I'm using the newest Versions of PHP, Mysql, XOOPS and Apache.

My server is a Computer in my local Network and setting up XOOPS was just great, locally everything works super.
(I access the site by typing 192.168.0.4:80)

But whenever I try to access the Page from outside the local Network it only loads the index.php (welcome screen) without any pictures.
The Path of the Index.php ishttp://mydomain/index.php whereas all other paths on the Site are resolved to 192.168.0.4 (for examplehttp://192.168.0.4/themes/phpkaox/images/logo.gif) which -of course- makes it impossible to display any picture.

Any Idea as to what might be the cause?

Thank you!

Stefan
