Further information on this issue:

We are running on a Plesk hosted CentOS 4 server with PSA version 8.1.1.

The site is a subdomain and the main domain configuration had safe_mode set to on and uses suexec users and groups.

By removing the safe_mode for the subdomain, the cache write issue seems to go away. The wiki operates.

However the configuration files not being writeable still remains...

Can anyone advise me which files and permissions need setting to fix this?

Hi,

I have just installed the DocuWiki 2.10 downloaded from the news article at Release of DokuWiki 2.10 for Xoops

Once I found the frameworks and xoopseditor packages all seemed to install fine.

When going to any page i get the following:
Writing /var/www/vhosts/webs.net.au/subdomains/cms/httpdocs/xoops/uploads/dokuwiki/cache/4/458f0fc08844acf799b7f1a2a9a71cfe.i failed
and
Writing /var/www/vhosts/webs.net.au/subdomains/cms/httpdocs/xoops/uploads/dokuwiki/cache/4/458f0fc08844acf799b7f1a2a9a71cfe.xhtml failed

The install created the subdirectories under the cache directory.

I have checked permissions and to make sure I set them all to 0777.

uploads/ is also writable.

But still this error.

Also in DocuWiki admin / Configuration Manager, I cannot save the setting because of this error:
The settings file can not be updated, if this is unintentional, ensure the local settings file name and permissions are correct.

So I checked modules/dokuwiki/conf/local.php and it has permissions of 666.

I am at a loss now as to what is causing this failure.

Anyone help?

Thanks
graham

Thanks for your suggestion. I could not get multiMenu to open a modules sub-menu with it, and it left my main menu (internal) module in a state of perpetual open sub-menus.

So I will give iMenu a try.

Thanks

Hi,

I would like to create sections in the main menu and only show the submenu when selecting a particular section. We would like some modules to appear only in submenus (see below for example).

We use XOOPS 2.0.13.1.

I have been able to create a flat html page and submenu pages under that. But have not been able to get the "news" module (for instance) to shows its own submenu under an existing submenu (only when on news module page).

So what I think I am after is sub-sub-menus. Here is an example:-

Main menu starts like this:
- Home <---
- General Info (flat html)
- Client Info (flat html)
- Contact Us (module)

Main menu expands like this:
- Home
- General Info (flat html) <---
- - News (module)
- - Pricing (flat html)
- - FAQ (module)
- Client Info (flat html)
- Contact Us (module)

- Home
- General Info (flat html)
- - News (module) <---
- - - Submit (module submenu)
- - - Archive (module submenu)
- - Pricing (flat html)
- - FAQ (module)
- Client Info (flat html)
- Contact Us (module)

"<---" indicates the page being displayed.

I hope this demonstrates what I mean. The module submenus should only display when viewing its own module main page. This is just like the main menu does now, but one layer deeper.

Hope someone can point me to the right module or a way of doing this.

kind regards
Graham

Hi,

I was checking the multimenu module out (version 1.74) and installed it on a test system into XOOPS 2.0.9.3 (according to admin I/F). After un-installing it multimenu module (I could not get it to do the sub-menu things I was hoping), it left the main menu in a state that always showed the submenus for the news module. Even when moving off the news page.

Anyone know how to reset this behaviour?

regards
Graham
