Care to share your preference for a Sections module which will work with 2.0.15 and one which is kept updated.

Any comments appreciated

OK all working correctly now. It was my fault [natch] I unpacked the zip into a folder I created locally but I shortened the file name. Lesson learned.

Cheers

OK did that and here's the message

Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "sea/theme.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084

Will check that class file and see what goes

Just reporting this malfunction and apologies if covered elsewhere.

Running 2.0.10 B3 if uploaded four or five themes. If I select any theme other than default the home page goes blank.

I trialled this on two different servers and the same happened.

Cheers

What upgrading do I have to do to get from 1.3.10 to the current V 2.0.9?

In the downloads section there doesn't seem to be an upgrade patch.

Any help appreciated as usual

Thanks for the response Chado ... appreciated

My old mate CatzWolf told me the same months ago but it;s the time factor mate. Just don't have the time and totally wrapt with 1.3 once one gets around the mail and other security issues as well as can be.

I was going to offer payment until I read the threads of recent times but it looks like I will have to hit the books as I can't see V2 solving my problem after a quick read

Thanks again mate *chucks Chado an Ozy beer*

I've been a member and XOOPS user for yonks. I still run 1.3.10 until I get the time to upgrade all my XOOPS sites and support has been great to date. If this is in the wrong thread then guys please move it but I have been trying to get a solution to an issue I raised here over a year ago concerning the UserPoints module and how it can be adapted to do just a tad more.

I want to be able to add or subtract Bonus points. This should only entail adding another column to the DB but I will also need some kind of interface in Admin to add or subtract points.

I then want the Total points for each UID/Uname to appear in the 'Menu for Uname' block after the user logs in.

Everyone I ask says it's an easy job but I can assure you. when you know Jack about the code it becmes a nightmare

I don't know enough about php/MySQL to effect these changes myself so need your help.

OK .. have solved part of the problem and it had to do with how the user voted .. voting once and going back for the next vote wasn't permitted = 'You have already voted'

Now membership of my community can have mom, dad and the kidz from the same family as members all using the same PC.
If Dad votes now mom and the kidz get the message 'You have already voted'

I am not clicky with php coding so can someone tell me what to insert in /modules/xoopspoll/index.php which reflects the UID rather than the IP of the PC [REMOTE_ADDRESS] so that the whole family may vote.

Thanks
