Multiple instances of a block with different settings in 2.0.16?

Hi,

I am investigating the possibility of downgrading a 2.2.4 site to 2.0.16. Having looked around in the administration of 2.0.16, I have to ask a potentially silly question:

1) How do I add a new block? It seems that I may only activate /make visible system blocks in some modules

2) Is it not possible in 2.0.16 to, like in 2.2.x, have the same block but with different settings displayed on differnt pages?

Hope you can help me with this..

Hi,

I am using the xfgallery for a site which uses XOOPS 2.2.4 and is not working ok. So, I am considering porting the site to the 2.0.16 release of XOOPS.

However, now I have found that the gallery module that I have used does not work with 2.0.16.
Any suggestions on what I should do? Is there a module with comparable features out there that works with 2.0.16?

Hi,

I installed the smartsection clone called knowledge, and now I get just an empty screen as soon as I enter the admin section of XOOPS. I get just this page contents:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC '-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN' 'http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd'><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
    <
head>
    <
meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
    <
meta http-equiv="content-language" content="en" />
    <
title>XOOPS Site Administration</title>
    <
script type="text/javascript" src="http://localhost/xoops-2.0.16/htdocs/include/xoops.js"></script>
    <
link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://localhost/xoops-2.0.16/htdocs/xoops.css" /><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://localhost/xoops-2.0.16/htdocs/modules/system/style.css" />

So, I would like to uninstall the module by force, somehow...

How do I manually uninstall a module that is faulty?!?!

Hi,

I would like to develop a costum block that extracts certain fieds from the profiles of users that belong to a specific group and display it in a nice way.

So, how do I (in PHP):

1) Get a list of userids of users which belong to a specific group.
2) Access fields from the profiles of each user.

I am using XOOPS 2.2.4.

Hi,

I am using XFguestbook on my site. Unfortunatelly, I have been receiveng a lot of spam in it, so I started using 2.40a, which incorporates a validation system in the form of an image containg text.

The problem is that no matter what i type as a response to this image, I cannot get it to be accepted. How come??

I am getting very tired of having to manually delete SPAM messages.

Is there a way to display the number of messages available to a logged in user in the theme?

Hi,

I have a major problem.

I am trying to use ANY WYSIWYG editor with images, but it fails every time. I had it working before, then i fiddled around with these patches, and now I cannot submit a document in which there is an image linked via HTML!

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=4&topic_id=47397

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=14&topic_id=43361

I have switched all the offending files back to the originals, but it will still not work

Using the news module, I get this when adding something from the image manager:

The same goes for the content module

[code]
Forbidden
You don
't have permission to access /modules/content/admin/index.php on this server.

... and TinyD 2.22 (using SPAW).

Forbidden
You don
't have permission to access /modules/klubbar3/admin/index.php on this server.

When linking the image via BBcode, I have no problem, but then I have no WYSIWYG, and my users need that again.

This is XOOPS 2.2.4 and I am using Firefox 1.5.0.4

Please, where is HTML IMG tags parsed? The only idea I have is that this file might be damaged..

Please, I really need some help with this...
