Multiple instances of a block with different settings in 2.0.16?

Hi,

I am investigating the possibility of downgrading a 2.2.4 site to 2.0.16. Having looked around in the administration of 2.0.16, I have to ask a potentially silly question:

1) How do I add a new block? It seems that I may only activate /make visible system blocks in some modules

2) Is it not possible in 2.0.16 to, like in 2.2.x, have the same block but with different settings displayed on differnt pages?

Hope you can help me with this..

1. In 2.0.16, from System Admin >> Blocks, there should be a form at the bottom of the page "Add a new block".

2. I don't think that's supported in 2.0.16, unless you create two "clone" blocks and give them different settings. Nut maybe the Smart Blocks add-on module can do this.

Yes, is possible, David is correct and work perfect with version developmente by TheRpLima, in soon.

p.s: This features is prestent a long long time in version http://www.xoops.net.br, but now is 100% functional

hi dargosch,

You can download a 2016 version hacked with my modifications to create a clone block function here.

This package can only be used to a fresh install of xoop, dont use this to update your old site, ok.

This download contain a oficial version of XOOPS 2016 with my hack to clone blocks and create new block positions (areas).

Alternatively - you can also use SmartBlocks - which also can do the same function
