Hi,

Thanks for everyones responses. In the end I used WF-Channel which does exactly what I need it to do. The only thing I haven't tried is to place a link on one of the wf-channel pages and get the html link to open in the same pane.

Ajoy.

Hi,

That is great, my only question now is how do I get the HTML page to open up in the centre page of the site?

Thanks!

Hi All,

I have tried LOADS of module to try and make a simple menu on the left (that when clicked can also have sub-items). These items were to open in the centre pane of the window.

I've not found a module that can do this and also fits my current theme (one of the XOOPS default themes). My question is:

How can I build a custom block that goes on the left with menu objects and sub-objects that when clicked, show a static html page in the centre?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Ajoy.

Hi All,

I am after something very simple; please excuse me if I have missed it somewhere else on this website or if I am cross-posting.

I'd like a block so that the PC that is browsing my site shows its IP address on the client browser screen. Sort of like www.whatismyip.com. This is so that if I need to VNC onto their machine, they can easily tell me their IP.

Thanks in advance.

Ajoy.

Hi all,

Forgive me if I am cross-posting. I am trying to set up my site so that potential customers see a welcome message when they surf to my site, but when my existing customers log in, they do NOT see the sales blurb...How would I achieve that please?

Thanks in advance,
Ajoy.

Hi All,

I want to change my postnuke website over to to xoops, and as my customers are probably already looking at it, I don't want my existing site to be down while I build and populate a new XOOPS site on top of the old postnuke one.

I am planning to build myself a linux box with MySQL etc so that I can install and test XOOPS and populate it will all of my data. I would then like to transfer the XOOPS site off there onto my webspace with my ISP. How easy is this to do?

Thanks in advance.
Ajoy Chundee.
