I got this same error today on one of the XOOPS sites I installed on a shared host. However it doesn't appear to be happening for all the sites... why is that? is it from a module? I have 2.0.7.3 and 2.0.9 sites working so I don't think it's from XOOPS itself.

Oh I see. I created symbolic links to php.ini that reference old installs versus the new installs which didn't have it.

I hope XOOPS will implement a mambo way of organizing blocks. That way it'll be easier to template with alot of flexibility.

hrm. The creative use of banner is interesting. I'll look into that.

I'm aware of the center (left/right/center) but there's a good reason I don't want to touch because that's the main content area that's useful for a large column. Whereas i'm looking for an additional 3 smaller columns but there's only 2 available.

I guess I was thinking of a 4 column design.

I wanted to add a somewhat static column for ads or a banner. however I didn't want to display it on every page and wondering if I could take use of the block display options but I guess that's a block feature...

I want to add another column to the front page but only show on the front page. Since there's only settings for 5 columns... How do I go about doing this?

that's a very round about way of saying. It's an unnecessary request! I think that's what you are getting at.

Though it would be easier if all the blocks are enabled by default so you don't have to go thru them and than go thru the group permissions....

Actually it would be easier if not very long vertically if it was all listed in one page like the group permissions... Is there any plans on changing the way to edit the blocks permissions? I find it very annoying to edit.

Is there anyway when you are editing a group that it doesn't automatically head to the registered users group? It's a little annoying sometimes... Especially when you have multiple groups.

thank everyone. That setting in a .htaccess does cause the install menu to completion. However it seems that when going to the website there is a blank page. I guess there is no way to get this to work with php 5.0.2..

Any last suggestions before I give up?

mithrandir: the newest one PHP 5.0.2, MySQL 4.0 (manual install), apache 2.0.52. Do you have any clue? It can't be configuration because 2.0.9b installs fine but for 2.0.7.3 it won't go pass the select language screen on the install.
