I was trying to get the same thing, but what I found is that (with AMS 2.2 anyways) you can place the block "recent news" in the center. You can control title length and summary (teaser) length by number of characters by going to system admin->blocks, then under action <edit> the "recent news" block.

well after hours of searching through hundreds of fonts, it seems the closest I can find is called "neuropolitical".
It's close, but not exactly it. Oh well. There, for anyone else's knowledge.

Anyone know what font is used in the module-page logos that are provided by xoops?
For example, look at [xoops dir]/modules/mylinks/images/logo.gif

Great module. Installed fine and works as stated. Small files no big deal for me. (It's weird seeing my FTP directories but my FTP server only shows me logging in and popping right back out - just have to get used to that.)
Anyway, the first thing that sticks out to me is the double-/ in the image paths. Sorry if you already know this, but it comes from the "HtmlBegin" function in html.inc.php
I just started looking for it today, but I'll let you know what I find as far as this is concerned.
