Hello all!
I would like to know certain things concerning multilanguages in Xoops. Here go:

In Xoops, If you install a language package normally, you would put it in the folder /xoops/language/ and you would put the language package inside modules.

Once done, if someone use french as his default computer's language, if he go to the website, XOOPS would show the website in french if the language package is installed.

My question is: If I removed the french language package from /xoops/language/ but still let the french language package inside the modules. If someone has french as default language on his computer, would that make XOOPS show french for the modules and english for the core modules (like menu, system admin, etc)?

Thank in advance!

Hello everyone!
Im using the SmartLanguage module on my XOOPS website version 2.0.13.2 .
I have defined an english tag and a french tag and on many of my page, I support both languages.
However, so far, only the english version contents is done and the french version is in progress. You can see the problem right? XOOPS will auto detect the french version if the user's computer is in french and will show the in progress french version.

Is there a way to tell XOOPS or SmartLanguage to always use the english version for now? and do not switch to the in progress french version ?

Thank in advance!
Anh Phuong, Tran

Well! Before posting this question on the forum, I did search on google and on this website about batch image upload, but I dint find any answer.
It was like everyone know it and therefor no need to say anything about it.

I try to follow your instructions step Jenclas, but how can I " ftp'ing the images to the folders. " ?
I mean sure, I can use ftp clients to upload all my images, but where to upload it? And will the image manager be able to detect those images and put them in the list so my users can select them?
How about avatars? Can I upload them in batch?

Hello, I'm using XOOPS 2.0 and I would like to know which modules can I use to have the news header like Xoops.org has?

Something that would stay at the top of the page with important informations.

Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to tell the default text editor to accept html?
I have some html code with table and such, and I need to put those html code in Liaise form's introduction.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the informations Mongrel, but I have another question. It seems like the XOOPS default editor interpret my code and somehow of it own code to it.
I used Frontpage to build my page with table and image, when I put the html code in the XOOPS default editor and save it, and when I edit it, XOOPS cut a text line randomly, exemple: I have a line of text that is long and somehow, XOOPS text editor cut it in half and when I go to view the page, the phrase is cut in half, which is not what I want.

Is there a way to tell XOOPS default editor to keep the html code part intact, without any manipulation of its part? Because I have passed the whole day just to try to arrange my table with text and image because XOOPS editor corrupt it somehow.

Thanks in advance!

Also, I use a multilingue hack that doenst let me disable XOOPS code.
