I have the same problem and I solved it.

As a webmaster ( so I should have te right permissions) I upload the modules on the server.

On the admin-page modules the newly uploaded modules should show up and ready to install. But this is not happening.

I put on php debug and it showed that the module rss gave a php bug:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/huigsloot.tk/www/modules/rss/language/nederlands/modinfo.php on line 21

I don't know what it means, but after deleting the module from the server the modules all show up on the admin page.

Just signed up on the Dev -site. No problem. Registered with the same username.
Only how do I sign myself up to this project.

Don't know much about PHP, but I'm learning every day.
So I hope I can be of any help to you.

Greetings Big H

Then Yes for phpGedview and a no for Geneweb

Phpgediew has a stunning layout and comes close to the features XOOPS is offering. Which should make it easy to port the program, I hope.

I checked your link and found out that Jeff Koertzen has started to develop a XOOPS module with phpGedview as the base.

Link: http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?myfamily

My concern is that phpGedview is only for showing your data. You will need an other program to make your Ged-files. Correct me if I'm wrong and Geneweb would be a complete module once ported.

But there is certainly some movement to get a module.

I'm running a family-site so a Genealogy-module is very welcome. What are the results of your post to the dev-module guys.

A free module is in favour so Geneweb should be ported I think.

Looking forward to see the module in the Downloads section.

Someone has ported the latest squirrelmail to XOOPS using a patch and iframe. Maybe that one works. I'm not used to work with patches

http://web.singnet.com.sg/~edchan/sqrMail.html

Further more a lot of web-based email programs, but none ported to xoops.

http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Email_Systems/Web-based_Email/

Maybe someone can give it a try.

Is there a handout or article about porting to xoops

I have not a answer for you, but also a problem with sqmail version 1.4.1. Working with XOOPS 2.0.6 on a debian machine with apache and php installed.

After changing the default language in XOOPS from English to Dutch, sqmail did not work anymore.

After I logged in, a blank page is all i got. The address shows :
sqmail/redirect.php

What do I need to do, to get the module working again.

When I changed the language back to English the module worked , but I want it to work with Dutch language as the default selected in Xoops.

Who has the answer

Greetings Big H
