realname/username in wordpress 2.04

I want to change the setting of wordpress 2.04, to display my username / nickname only, but it always show my realname, how ?
the error is shown that:
ERROR: This username is invalid. Please enter a valid username.

give up of news1.3, why cannot remove other news?

Somebody pls help me, for module news 1.3 spotlight function:

I try to spotlight a single news only without displaying articles in OTHER NEWS, so i put 0 (number) on display articles comlumn but the result shows that it will display ALL the news!?

I try other spotlight modules and yet the result all the same.

I'm giving up.......

like this:
member bid on something with certain amount(can defined), after certain period the bid will close.

emmm.... like ebay system, but only very simple thing. maybe there is similar module already here but i can't find it. somebody pls help.
