Thanks, Vaughan. That quick patch did the trick.

Just one more question. Where is the XOOPS tracker you mentioned?

I have searched extensively in these forums and haven't found anyone else talking about my problem, so here goes.

Everything on my site seems to be working OK after upgrading to 2.0.16, but when I try to remove text from a user's URL field in their profile, the change isn't reflected in the database. So I have to go in with phpMyAdmin if I want to delete text in that field.

Was something changed in admin.php, or any of its included files, that might cause this?

I have build a sample ajax module witch is based on the famous Ajax Agent. Thank to Steve Hemmady !

This simple module use the XOOPS object model to
- get a user from an id.
- update the attributes "Email", "url" and "default theme" of a profile User

The class "UpdateManager.php" is generic and can be use with other XOOPS object.

You can download it here:

Hope that help

PS : The oryxgen project will integrate soon ajax.

I get a 403 error when I click on the link you provided. Can you provide a workable link to download the module?

Thanks.

greywolf22's suggestion that I switch to GD 2.x solved my problem. Thanks!

By looking at my host's PHP info, I was able to determine that GD 2.x was all they had. No wonder selecting GD 1.x in the module's admin settings wasn't working.

Now I need to educate myself on how to set up albums and so forth, and I'll be ready to go.

Hi,
I could not see the picture (got forbidden reply), but i'm using xcgal myself aswell, and it could be you have set the "path to the converting utility" or the "Method for resizing images" in the "Config Options" incorrectly. Best to use is ImageMagick/Netpbm but when not available its reverting to using GD 1.x and then you might get bad pictures. In that case better to choose for GD 2.x which should give better result.

Hope this helps.

I'll try making that adjustment and I'll post the result a.s.a.p. Thanks!

Pardon me profusely if this topic has been covered already, but a search didn't bring up anything.

I'm preparing to turn xcgallery 1.1 loose on a site that is currently using XOOPS 2.0.9.3. A few of us have uploaded some pictures to see how xcgallery will work, and every single file we have uploaded comes out with what can best be described as sepia tones. For just one example, click here.

On our local machines, what we see is a JPEG file with normal colors and color depths.

What setting in xcgallery will let me fix this? Or is there something else going on here that has nothing to do with xcgallery?

The 7dana-soft theme, which is the default theme here, has a configurable Javascript clock built into it. I suppose you'll have to download the theme to see how it works.

The wording you speak of is defined in modules/sections/language/english/main.php. So edit that file and re-define _MD_HEREUCANFIND. There are a lot of other definitions you can change in that file as well. Hope that helps.
