What about galleries like Deviantart.com or Renderosity.com?

Herko

First, thanks for your willingness to help. I'm new to the forum, but I've read your newsletters and your postings and appreciate the tone and direction your leadership gives this community I'm also sorry this problem has to be so frustrating...

Here is exactly what I'm doing:

1) I install the Forum module.
2) I Add a Forum Category ('abc').
3) I attempt to Add a Forum ('def') to Category 'abc' (NOTE: I do not have a problem seeing the category in the drop down). I keep all the defaults and select Administrator, Webmaster, and Moderator as the Forum Moderators, and click 'Create a new forum.'
4) I get the following error:

"Forum Configuration

You did not fill out all the parts of the form.
Did you assign at least one moderator? Please go back and correct the form."

I am using XOOPS 2.0.6. register_globals is on. I did add the suggested .htaccess files.

Thanks,
JAB*

register_globals is on.

Added .htaccess file with "php_value register_globals 1" line in the root directory of my site and in the admin folder of the newbb folder.

Neither worked. I'm still getting the error:

"You did not fill out all the parts of the form.
Did you assign at least one moderator? Please go back and correct the form."

And I DID create a category first, and DID select multiple users as moderators.....

This seems to be a wide spread problem and i haven't found a definitive solution anywhere on the boards.

I created a .htaccess file with "php_value register_globals 1" in the root folder of my site and in the admin folder of the newbb module and neither worked.

I've noticed that this is a pretty wide spread problem, but there don't seem to be any definitive solutions anywhere on the forums. Was this ever resolved???

I'm also very interested in this.

I have a number of projects in the works that need custom user registration pages. I would need need some of the fields to be required for registration and some fields optonal. Some of the information I would like to gather is demographic information that would not necessarily be editable but would give statistical information to the Admin.

Can this be done easily???

Thanks,
JAB*
