Protector 2.57 Prefix Manager gives blank page

Hi,

I've installed Protector 2.57. It tells me I have to do something about the prefix 'XOOPS_DB_PREFIX' and invites me to go to the Prefix Manager. When I click the link all I get is a blank page.

At first I thought this was Protector protecting against itself. But when I changed all the behavior from 'blank page' to something else the blank page remained.

If I guessed right, the 2 links at the bottom with the heading 'Check if Protector is working correctly' (is in Dutch on the site, had to translate it) should return a blank page when clicked. What happens is I get forwarded to the site (no blank page).

I assume that the installation of Protector has gone wrong in some way.

Paul.

PS: the site is www.johanmarquering.nl

Don't bother. I've reinstalled XOOPS.

Isn't there anyone that has a clue to what's going on?

Missing admin menu. Admin.php returns "You don't have access to this area"

Hi,

I wanted to promote XOOPS and installed a website for a friend (www.johanmarquering.nl). Now before I could make a backup of the DB he started unchecking blocks in the administration menu. Now I'm locked out of the administration area. In fact when I typehttp://www.johanmarquering.nl/admin.php I get the message "You don't have the right to access this area".

I've already found several entries on this subject but no conclusive answers yet.

Checked the DB. In the xoops_group_permissions all the 'system_admin' rows are assigned to group 'gperm_groupid' = 1 which is the 'Administrator Group' (see below).

I'm at a loss here. Have spent several hours now trying to get it up and running again but haven't a clue.

Paul.

Re: After install of 2.0.16 only login caption an mainmenu captions show, no buttons

Well.... I've been happy a bit too early. Now the xoops_md5.php doesn't report any files wrong anymore but the problem hasn't gone away. I've copied all the files to the server (again) deleted the XOOPS database and ran the Install/index.php. To my suprise all the Data I had entered (password, MySQL userID, etc...) was still present (?). Maybe have to clean all an do the whole process again (sigh). Got any other clues as what goes wrong?

Re: After install of 2.0.16 only login caption an mainmenu captions show, no buttons

Yep, very helpfull indeed. I'm using FileZilla for the the FTP and I'm starting to believe this is not a very solid tool at the moment. I get a lot of transfer errors (waiting for next attempt) which causes files of 0 bytes length. I'll try another tool. Thanks for your help!

Doesn't solve it. Already read something about that. Oops.. even removed the index.html Copied it back. CHMOD 777 cache/ and templates_c/ and no result!

After install of 2.0.16 only login caption an mainmenu captions show, no buttons

Hi,

I've installed the 2.0.16 version of XOOPS for a friend of mine but I kinda stuck at the moment. After installation (did it twice) tried to call the Homepage and got only the Header, Footer and 2 Captions for 'login' and 'Main Menu'. No buttons are showing.

Tried to settting the value for the '_MD_AM_DEBUGMODE' to 1 in the 'xoops_config' file. No debugging is showing.

I couldn't install XOOPS using the 'index.php' so I changed that to 'new.php'. Don't think that has any influence. You can see the result yourselves at:

http://www.johanmarquering.nl/new.php

Paul.

DMS Module Bulk Import

Hi,

Still have to figure out how it works exactly but I've already got a question. We have been developing for many years now and have already got a lot of documentation. Is there a possibility to import these docs as a batch?

Paul.

How does SPAW do that?

Ok, ok. I know I'm quite new to PHP and JS programming! I have however programmed a lot but now am completely lost in the SPAW code.

I've been trying to find where SPAW does this nice feature of Adding/Deleting Rows and Columns in the latest version. I've hacked all the code for a day but still got no clue where to start. I'd like to enhance the code a littie so that it always uses a default class when creating tables and cells. Should be easy using the 'setAttribute' function but can't find the entrypoint for that kind of code.

Already found the 'class' array in the config file, but setting it for every cell is very teadious.

Who knows what I'm/he's/she's talking about?

Paul.
