I've recently finished ChallengeNewMinas.ca which is for a student conference at my church.

Thanks, that was the problem that I was having. What I realised is that you can in the user profiles actually set a server time zone for a user. That was where we were off on my site, the server time and site time were the correct times, but I was listed as being several tim zones different.

Perhaps this is an item for a help file or something to go in the docs folder of the extcal module. Its a great resource that the module does this, but its simply not clear how to fix if not working.

I got it in my context. I had to set the server, site, and user time zones to be all the same (AST in my case).

The trick was to set mine and other users who post events to that time zone.

I'm trying to figure out why events posted with extCal are displaying different times when I'm logged in and when I am not. As far as I know my serve is in GMT-6 and I know I'm GMT-4.

The event as posted
http://www.solidrockyouth.ca/sry/modules/extcal/event.php?event=122

when I'm logged in is from 19:00-22:00. However, when I log out it shows 15:00-18:00.

How do I make the logged in time (thus the time I post) to be the same as the time I see when I'm logged out?

[I'm using XOOPS 2.2.4 and extCal 2.0.2]

Thanks.

Thanks. I edited it and used this:

<{if $xoops_isadmin}><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/admin.php">Admina><{/if}>

In the theme that I'm using here there is a login link on the top right. Because I'm not using the User Menu, I would like to be able to place a link to the admin page which would show up only if the logged in user is an admin. What code do I need for this?

Agreed on the rating system, I'd really like to have it be able to be turned off in the admin section as I'll have to remove it for my site (mine is a directory of churches and its not altogether helpful to be rating churches lol)

tripmon: Thanks for being gracious.

One quick question before I try another upgrade attempt... is mxdirectory currently compatible with XOOPS 2.2.3?

No it had more to do with something weird that happened when I tried to move backwards after getting the blank page.

But yes, I did follow the instructions. After I get the site working again I'll try again.

[Sorry if it seemed I said it was mxdir's fault my site exploded... I was frustrated and working on it again after only a couple hours sleep.]
