Wow.. the "xoops" support on this forum used to be quick to respond?

I guess they can't answer every question......

I solved this one ... Plain and simple....

I was running PHP5.... XOOPS does not run on PHP5 Aparently.

I'm now running PHP4 and installation went fine.

I have 2.06 working on one computer, G4 Mac w/10.3. I'm in the
process of installing 2.06 on my localhost.

I'm serving from 10.0.1.2. When I load thehttp://10.0.1.2/

http://10.0.1.2/install/index.php comes up, and enters the setup process for XOOPS but when I click on the "next" button it just reloads the same page?

Did I forget to configure somthing?

Thanks,

Backing up xoops data bases.

Who knew? I figured it out! Any moderators reading this post can
delete it!

Thanks, MacUnkie

I've done a search on this topic but am needing a simple example of how to back up and IMPORT data bases of xoops. I have a simple site configured to serve from on computer. I have phpmyadmin and can basically understand how to "export" my XOOPS data bases:

How do I "correctly" export the databases of the existing site, then:

How do I "correctly" IMPort them?

I have XOOPS 2.06 running on both computers.

On my exsisting XOOPS site, do I transfer the "xoops" folder to a new XOOPS installation?

Thanks! [b][color=990099]

I'm really interested in this module!

"Streaming Audio (MP3) Hack"

Where can I get it?

I attempted MediaStream Module, but I'm using a Mac and couldn't get it
to work?

Thanks,

For right now I'm just trying to get the module to work.

When I click on the file in my xsoops site to play I get this message:

"Cannot open file. Verify path and file name are correct."

Do I need to set pemissions to any of the MediaShow folders?

MacUnkie.

$gExtension = "wav mp3 mid mp3s";

I didn't mean that the site is serving "mp3s" , but "mp3".

I just can't hear the module playing the selected mp3!

Is there adjustment that needs to be done to the mediasho_bloc.php file so
that MAC users can hear the files?

Thanks for your help!

Macunkie

I'm using Mac OS X and I went to a site using mediashow and my browser displayed the following:

"The playlist format is not recognized"

The site is streaming *.mp3s

How can I hear the tunes?
