I'm working on a mydownloads hack that will stream mp3 audio from any localy hosted mp3 file. It requires a Flash plug-in. I'm using Wimpy Player to stream. It's okay, but the plug-in is givng me problems. I'm doing this to stream audiobook clips, but it could just as easily stream music. It also has a built in Amazon.com associates ID link to refer back to the source so that if people dig it, they can order it from Amazon. Here's a screenshot and you can see it in action here.



I've currently only got it working on Mozilla only not IE. Anyway, if anyone is interested let me know and after I've finished, I'll zip it up and add it to the download section here.

does the old feature still exist?

Yeah, I never had a use for the downloads module so this would pretty much wipe it out. I'm sure there would be an easy way to fix this though.Quote:
