access problem with popup & ie

hi there,

if a logged user opens a popup windows that includes the mainfile, the mainfile can't read the session data for the logged in user. So the user cannot be identified.

This proplem occurs only in ie, not in firefox, etc. Is this a known issue and is there a workaround for this?

Hi there,

creating a new page follows the WIKI-concept ;). You always address to URLs in the WIKI-mod (including the name of the page, you want to create/show up with). If the page with the given name already exists, it will be shown as any other html-page addressed by your browser, otherwise the page will be created and the edit-mode will be opened.

i.e. call

http://www.mydomain.com/modules/wiwimod/index.php?page=NewWiwiPage

to show or create a page named "NewWiwiPage".

The value of the attribute "page" has to follow the CamelCase (at least in this implementation) => see this thread

did everything as mentioned on the page, but there is still a blank page :(...

do you have any more ideas?

Hi there,

has anyone experienced a similar problem, that one gets a blank page after the "confirm database settings" dialog.

I am running
Apache 2.0
MySQL 3.23.58
PHP 4.3.4

I have set up a test-server so that you can try out yourself, here are the links:

- PHP-Version-Configuration Link

- Test-Installation-Page-URL



the following configuration is required:

Database MySQL
Database Hostname localhost
Database Username test
Database Password
Database Name test
Table Prefix XOOPS
Use persistent connection? No
XOOPS Physical Path /var/www/html/test/html
XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)http://131.159.24.138/test/html

no passwords needed.

I would appreciate any help very much. Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

is there any possibility to post news ony visible for certain specific groups of users?

I know in boards there is a possibility to make a forum private, but the others still can see the forum entry in the category... is there any possibility to hide this entry?

Hi there, is there any way of getting the user name from within a template. I just want to do a simple contact form, where the username is filled in a input field...
