I find the default forum module too confusing and unintuitive for my site. I was wandering if there are other forum modules available ?

thanks

hi,

Firstly I'd like to say what a fantastic environment XOOPS is to build a website. Although I woirk in IT Systems support, I don't know any html, and have yet built a fully functional site for myself in a couple of days which goes way beyond my initial requirements - without typing a single html line of code !!! - amazing.

And secondly - closer to home - the speedy and friendly support received whenever I ask questions in the forum - quite astounding...thankyou to all who conribute to xoops.

And now to my question - I have my site installed under a sub folder from my website i.e. www.mywebsite.com\anotherfolder\

I want to move the entire structure up one folder thus negating the need to type the subfolder 'anotherfolder' in the URL.

Can I just move the whole code up one folder - or is it more complicated ?

many thanks

I have the news module set as my home page module - but i would like to preface my news items with a small 'welcome' section in the same way you have done on this website - a la 'Welcome to XOOPS official website!' bit.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated...

Hi,

I've recently installed XOOPS 2.0.6 and have played around adding and removing various modules - anyway I now have Links, Contact Us, Forum, XCGallery and News. These are all visible and fine when logged into the site.

However when browing the site in Anonymous mode the Main menu only displays Home and News ! None of the other modules are displayed.

I'm sure its a permissioning thing -but have looked everywhere !!

anyhelp greatly appreciated..
