Hello

I am experiencing the following problem, causing my forum page not to look very nice. My Newbb forum has a very long forum thread of 17 pages. In the overview of forum threads, the pages are shown like this: [1][2][3].......................................[17].

So, with every new page, the forum generates new dots. I just want te following: [1][2][3]...[17]. How can I fix this? I have been looking around for a while already, but I haven't found a solution yet.

I have also tried to install the new Newbb forum (v2), but when I install that version, the forum doesn't really work anymore, so I am still using Newbb v1 at this time.

Any advice? Thanks!

Evennews subscription not working...

Hello,

I am using Catzwolf's Evennews 2.1 Module. When I subscribe on it, a confirmation mail is sent and when de confirmation link is clicked, it says "Thanks for your subscription".

But when I go to the Evennews admin, the recipients table is empty ("no data to show"). So the subscription failed, but there are no error messages.

If I choose to import users manually, it says: error while adding user XXX...

Any idea of what could be wrong?

Update:
I've solved the problem. I used capital letters for the module name. I've changed this to regular letters and it works fine now.

Thanks!

Kenn

News introduction text in bold

Hello...

For my XOOPS site I want to put the introduction text of a news article in bold. This may look like a basic question, but i still haven't succeeded to make it work.

In the news overview, the text should stay regular (not bold), but in the article itself, the intro text should be displayed in bold.

I tried editing the template allready, but the problem is that the article content exists of one part (at least, I think so...).

Thanks!

Thanks, this looks a good module to use for this.

However, I still have a problem with this module. I want to use the layout that is used for the module itself for the block.

So I mean that I want a block with seperate parts (newstopics, forumtopics, ...), just like the layout of the BopComments module itself.

How can I use the module layout for the block?

Thanks voor the advice, but I think that's not really a solution for my problem, because I need to use Recent News and Recent Topics in one block.

So If I use the Recent News block to put all the content in, I will still not be able to use the Recoent Topics block...

Is there maybe another method?

Hello,

For my XOOPS site I need to integrate the Recent News and Recent Topics blocks in another Custom block.

What's the best way of doing this?

I've allready tried to paste the template file content in the custom block, but that doesn't seem to work.
Or is there a way of including the whole block in the custom block?

Can someone help me out please?

Thanks
Kenn

Hi Julian,

I needed to turn off this function too, and I've been searching for a solution.

The file you need to change is module.textsanitizer.php in the class folder. At the end of rule 133 you will find the following text: "\\1<a href=\"mailto:\\2@\\3\">\\2@\\3". Change "\\1<a href=\"mailto:\\2@\\3\">\\2@\\3" to "\\1\\2@\\3" and now it doesn't show the mailto link anymore.

Greetings

Kenn

Where can I find the Rewrite option?

But isn't there a way to name the pages like ?page=pagename by changing the code a bit? I would prefer this to the rewrite method.

Tinycontent: page name in url

Hello,

I use Tinycontent, which works fine. However, I have a question on it (and maybe it might also be a nice future request?).

I want to have the page name in the url, but not the page id. By default, you can reach pages via eg ...?id=2, but i'd like to access it via ...?page=pagename. How can I let this work? It would be a lot easier to remember for the site visitors.

Thanks for your assistance...
