I'm not sure if is that what you mean but if so, set the right permissions in userprofile.

From my point of view the module should contain also a scientific way to describe animals. Maybe this is not what pages for cats and dogs need, but It would be helpful not only for reptiles and amphibians, but also for mammals and vertebrates.

To be exactly what I think such a module should contain:
Following fields in the Admin menu:

(some ideas for Distribution: It would be great if somehow googlemaps could be inculded in this part, i.e. an animal is located in nothern Argentina, south Bolivia and southwest of Paraguay, googlemaps shows you this part of the world in the description).

Size____ (inch or cm)

Food:_____ (carnivor, herbivor or omnivor)

Hibernation: (yes or no)

then bigger fields (like the ones in news for article) for

Description:____________

Keeping in captivity: ___________

(maybe also as a seperate part):
Captive breeding: __________

At last, it should be possible to upload two or three pictures.

Two more Ideas:
On the page could be intergrated also the gallery.
I.e. pictures of the animal from the gallery could be shown in this part with a link to the part of the gallery where this animal is visible.

And, people, who keep and breed this animal, could be listed with a link to their profile.

I am sorry for writing so much, but this is how I imagine such a module for Animal descriptions. Maybe you can use some of my suggestions.
The question is, how many people would be interested in such a module ...?

Installation is successful now. At the first view, it seems not to be what I need, but that's not bad I will use Publisher like I planned before. Nevertheless I will of course test it as good as I can. (It's installed on podrum.eu, if you want to check out by yourself).

I tried to test it (on podrum.eu) but it cannot be installed.
If this module is what I think it is, then it's one of the best modules for my site. You know I used cjaycontent for describing species.

I apologise to all xoopsmember for posting in such a topic which is out of date for such a long time, but I think it's still worth to talk about it.

Pozdrav, evo vec dva dana citam po ovom i njemackom forumu i naidjoh na ovu temu. Mislim da bi vrijedno bilo pokusati ponovo xoops za "nase" ljude otvoriti. I sam ste slozni da bi bilo pametno otvoriti jedan "zajednicki" xoops za ljude na prostoru bivse yu. Moja sugestija bi bila domaina nesto poput "balkanxoops.org", ili slicno (nesto neutralno i svima primamljivo). Kad na stranici rade 3-4 covjeka za support, kada se malo radi na promociji, onda je moguce i ponovo ljude navesti na xoops. Ja sam osobno vise puta pokusao sa joomlom, ali mi nije islo od ruke. (moram napomenuti da je moje znanje o xoopsu i opcenito o CMS sistemima jako .... slabo).

Ja sam imao ukupno 4 stranice na xoopsu. Tri sam izbrisao (iz razocarenja) (podrum.net (za exyu publiku.), crotalk.com (za hr), testudinata.com (za njem.) jednu jos drzim (kornjace.com). Imao sam dosta problema, koje, zbog manjka znanja, nikad nisam uspio urediti niti sam se nadao ih srediti. (Trenutno se to rijesava pomoci mambe). Sve u svemu, sto sam zelio reci stime je, da bi mozda zajedno mogli nesto pridonjeti. Ja na svom serveru imam mjesta za jos jedan sajt a pomoci prijatelja iz Zagreba mogu se pobrinuti za Hrvatske prijevode. (Osobno sam rodjen u Austriji tako da se nebi usudio jamciti ispravan pravopis i gramatiku).

A prijevod bi se lako mogao tri puta praviti (hr, bih, sr.).

Tema je stara, ali mislim da je vrijedno pokusati je oziviti.
