all of my users, admin included, need to log in twice before they get access to the portal - each time the message says that the log in is accepted [usual welcome msg] - but only on the second attempt does it actually give acces to the registered users.
no content is meant to be available for anonamous.

I have a feeling this is something to do with a duplication of the login system, any help in identifying the flow of login structure, or possible likely duplicates would be welcomed.
i have a recollection that this could be due to a duplicated sql table but cannot identify which one holds the log in permissions - although the users table is fine

a possible source of my probs is a removed 'uploader' module/includes directory that for some reason cannot be deleted from my server - it returns a message like "directory cannot be deleted as it is empty" any ideas about this would be welcome too
i am running XOOPS 2.3

this whole saga has just repeated itself with me too.
cant log in - cant get admin acess - email reminder returns no known user.
this was after instaling uploader - which never appeared on the admin menu then next log in = no log in.

sorry to post ths im sure ive seen it before on the forum - but half an hour of searching and i still cant find it - anyway the problem is...

each user admin included has to log in twice before getting access.
if, as, i suspect it is a double update, could you tell me which doubled file to delete?

eeek i just noticed that there are two admin page faq module buttons - and i know i only installed it once.

finaly got around to switching on the faq module.
and it is empty? - perhaps this is a good thing for those needing subject specific faqs - but I only want one on how to use and navigate the XOOPS interface - surely one exists - if so, can anyone tell me where to get it from?

please dont say ive got to write a whole manual for this bloody thing.

I sorted it.
it seems that the table width parameters were too wide in the 'view forum' html page - like allowing 15% for number of posts (as this is a digit it would have taken several thousandmillion posts to fill the column)

using the built in bb module - all of the topics in each forum appear as a tall column of words - it appears to be wrapped at each word. this makes each topic very very tall and leaves a huge gap 30% or so of the browser width for the other sections, such as number of replies.
anyone got any pointers about how i can attribute more width to the topics space and stop the word wrapping?
is this a common problem?

sorry to post such a trivial prob here but i have been searching for info about this on this site with no luck.
