Fully agree to rename xnews by news... as it's still time (very few differences between both modules) !

That would avoid
- confusion
- 2 parallel development for a same module. It's better to concentrate on 1 good module :)

for xnews, that would be nice to add
- an option "hide publishing date" as we have "hide the author". For permanent content (pages), date is not necessary and make your content old for your visitors with time ! Also if we add an option "hide counter view", that would save a lot of space in category pages (one line for each article if we hide date, author and counter : it would be great for use it as content/page module)
- an option to add a picture to an article, with a thumbmail in category page (with the option right/left display). In fact we have it for catergory image right now, but that would be great by article

If you want other development ideas for other modules, let me know : i have so much ;)
There are a lot of old very good modules needed updates : adresses+googlehack; evennews; videotube; xplorer and also more recent ones : slideshow (missing target management); liaise (missing recipient at user level and not group);...

Thanks Mamba,

After your post i found the pb : there were htaccess on avatars and smileys folder, but not in uploads (so others modules were working)

When i installed xoops, i made an error from my provider manager tool protecting uploads folder... and i removed htaccess in uploads folder. I didn't see it created also htaccess in subfolder !

I can now see my images ! tks a lot !

Multimenu : Admin link page style broken on widescreen

Hi all,

Using a wide screen with my laptop, i met a pb with admin page in multimenu module : "link" page management

The frame with the link is broken...

By the way, would it be possible to include links directly in the page (even if that build a long page...) and not in a frame...? It's quite perturbing to have 2 scrollbars !!!

I'm not sure if i'm using the last trunk... but for sure i installed xoops 2.5

If not, which files should i update? Could it come from uploads folder permissions ?

HTML code in user registration notification mail

Hi all,

In fact, i always met this pb, but i don't why, i'm reacting today :)

When a new user register, the mail i receive is :

<span style='font-style: italic; font-weight:bolder;'>NEW USER</span> vient juste de s'inscrire !

But the code is not interpreted... Have you the same pb? Do you know where is the template? Is it from the core or profile module?

I also still have pb showing avatars, smileys...

smileys : i can't see them neither in admin neither in front
avatars : i can see them on admin side, but i can't on front side (user profile and pop up to choose one)

it's since the images have been moved to a sub folder (V2.5)... i think the direction should be broken somewhere since...

just found ads in the admin part "waiting validation"

pb should be just the redirect after the add submition...
