Thanks guys for the advice. I ended up getting what I wanted in a block by using news but had to use the xm-spotlight module.

You guys are great! Thanks for the help and support!

Happy Turkey Day!

Articles Recommendation?

Can someone recommend an articles style module for 2.2.4 other than the current releases of articles v.99.

I am looking for something with not as many bells and whistles and a little less complex. I just want users to be able to comment and have the full article or most of it displayed in a center block.

Right now I am just using a "custom system" block for any personal articles but there obviously is no comments capable with this.

Im sure there is something out there that I seem to be overlooking or something I already have installed that is capable. I tried my blog and the news but I cant seem to get the right option for a block display with both so I figured I needed an article module.

Thanks in advance

Ok, seriously. I am at the end of my rope trying to fix this theme. I have edited the css and the html in every fashion except obviously the right way. This is the theme I am using on one of my sites (the one in my signature below). Well, to me everything looks perfect on the screen but for everyone else set at 1024x768 or below, its way to big. Most users are not even aware that there is a right column because they cant seem to work a scroll button, lol. Anyway, I would like to resize everything to fit comfortably within 1024 and have had no luck.

If anyone can take a peak at the file (I've zipped it for download) I would be eternally greatful.

Here is the file theme I need help with

At this point I am just short of putting my foot through my monitor so in order to save be a buck or two, give me a paypal account and I will even shoot you a few bucks for your trouble if you prefer.

As always guys, thanks in advance for all your help!!!

If you want to tweak/fix it and send it back you can email me the file direct to:

or
steelers@steelersyndicate.com

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotcha!!

It didnt appear as though there were any security issues that were fixed in the changelog so I guess my question is, if I haven't experienced any fixed problems mentioned in the changelog with 2.2.4, is it necessary to upgrade on final release? Or should I say recommended rather than necessary. I hate to try an upgrade and screw everything up, lol. I tend to have a habbit of that, LOL.

Is there a setting to not have the thumbnail (when used for latest image block) not be so transparent or difficult to see? Can't it just show a normal quality thumb?

I went through the settings in the admin a few times and think I must be overlooking something.

Gratzi

I too am looking to provide the same thing for my members. I am using 2.2.4 and tried the new Xpress MU version but had all kinds of problems and couldnt quite get it to work properly. The whole thing is a bit confusing so for now I am continuing to use WeBlog but it lacks alot of features that I want for my members. Is this "lifestyle" blog you spoke of in the works for a XOOPS conversion?

Is there a link for the Lifestyle blog? I tried to google it and cant seem to find any info on it.
