possibly its a problem of using Gzip compression on a server that doesnt support it?

What is you gzip compression set to in General Preferences?
and does your server support it?

Otherwise, I havent seen that happen very often.


If I was to attempt to fix something like this, I would have to work with the site itself having the problem.


Otherwise, maybe someone else has experienced this or knows what might cause it.

I use PD-Downloads and WF-Downloads... they both have upload capability and I havent had too many problems getting them to work.

I see others using these modules all the time as well.

They are both based on the original downloads module, and are the result of people wanting the same thing as you.

Yes, you can edit the login block template and send them anywhere you want.

simply edit /modules/system/templates/blocks/system_block_login.html

Around line 7:

<input type="hidden" name="xoops_redirect" value="<{$xoops_requesturi}>" />


You can put any URL in the value field.

I think you can also do this to the other login page too if you need.

No, there are database changes between those two versions...

As long as you dont have any custom hacks, you could run the updates to get to 2.2 from 2.0.6

Sounds like you didnt uninstall it properly.

You would need to deactive the module, then click the uninstall icon in module admin.

You cannot simply delete the modules files.


Now, you would need to delete those *_bb_* tables from your database using phpMyAdmin or MySQL.


Then, installing the module will work again, since the table wont already be there to stop it.

You seem to be talking about User Profiles.

The profiles module can be used for for extended user profiles, but that is not its only main/only purpose.

Why cant you use XOOPS 2.0.13 ??

If you require basic modules, 2.0.13 covers that requirement.

What requirements do you have that are not covered by 2.0.13??
