I tried the safe list thing but finally ended up uninstalling Norton because of complications with my XOOPS sites. Zonealarm doesn't have the same problem, fortunately.

Norton wouldn't even let me check my hotmail...

If you are using Dreamweaver, MyXoopsExtensions may help.

Otherwise, XOOPS-Tips has a PDF with all the smarty variables you can use in a theme, among some good tutorials.

Hope this helps :)

MyDownloads_Fileup is handy also - lets you add upload functionality to the existing MyDownloads module.

Find this hack here.

Top of your theme.html, just under the body tag:
<body>
<
table cellspacing="0">
<
tr id="header">
<
td id="headerlogo"><a href="http://opengeek.zonahardcore.com/"><img src="http://www.opterongeek.net/themes/opengeek/imagens/logo.png" alt="" /></a></td>

Change <a href="http://opengeek.zonahardcore.com/"> to reflect the new URL.

Be sure you are uploading your images in Binary. Check the settings in your FTP program to be sure.

The smarty tags in the block templates are block-specific so you can't just move the codes around like that. You could hard code the user menu into the main menu pretty easily though (cut & paste the actual html for the usermenu, not the block template), or you could try the MultiMenu module.

No, its not bad at all for a test site or for someone experimenting with web design or XOOPS, I don't mean to knock it. Reading that just brought me back to when I started out 8 years ago with a free hypermart account: 50MB storage and 2000MB transfer... it was great for about a month, until the site gained a small following. Then hypermart charged me like $5 for each megabyte I went over in bandwidth & started sending me outrageous bills & i had to move everything mid-launch, it was a mess. I'm sure that won't be the case with cuckston's service, but the residual memories make me balk at a 'hook' of a "free 1000MB bandwidth".

Even 1000MB with a cpanel is great for experimentation though, so this contest would be worth pursuing for all those wishing they could run XOOPS on geocities.

I'm sorry I even started this thread. I would defer all future replies to this thread.
