Re: Admin menu missing

Problem solved, although I am not sure how,,,,

I had commented a few lines out in my .htaccess file on the root. It was these lines:

<Files 403.shtml>
order allow,deny
allow from all
</Files>

I restored these lines and now it works.

Thanks anyway,
Tim

Admin menu missing

Hi all,

I think I may have a serious problem here.

I needed to do a restore on my site, and my isp restored it from the morning of the same day. I can detect no problems other than the site admin menu is now missing. It looks like this:

Resized Image

I also messed with some permissions but I don't think this could be the cause. Or not?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I guess I should also upgrade my XOOPS version. Would this fix it?

TIA,
Tim

Re: How do I add flash to my content pages?

Hi all,

That appears to be the answer - the swf files need to be in the module directory. The video can be accessed from other directories, provided that the relative link to the video is given in the html.

Proof available here.

This is solved to my satisfaction,
Thanks for your help,
Tim

What you need to get it to work at, is inside an HTML document as eg in the way of my Testflash.html example.

Absolutely. This is entirely my point. That html works from inside the directory that houses the swf files. If I put that html in a forum post, the controls do not appear at the bottom of the video. This is what I am trying to solve.

Thanks,
Tim

Yes, the video does work, but as I stated in the post above, the controls on the bottom do not. When it is outside of Xoops, the control bar does appear (see links above).

Thanks,
Tim

I don't know anything about Flash, but it seems to me, that this is a Flash problem. If you can make a bare html page with the flash object working correctly in, you would also be able to integrate it in XOOPS.

Yes, that was what I thought, but it appears not.

That was why I gave the link to the Flash outside of Xoops, which works, and to the Flash as referenced in a forum post inside Xoops, which does not. The point being that the flash works outside of Xoops, but not inside.

I have tried to use working html inside of Xoops, but it also fails.

Thanks,
Tim

Re: How do I add flash to my content pages?

Hi all,

I would really like some help with this if anyone can help.

Other things I have tried:

I have used flash to generate an HTML page, and tried to load the html into the XOOPS form. No dice.

I have changed all the links (that I could identify) in the html from relative to absolute links. This also doesn't work.

Anyone?

Please?

TIA,
Tim

Re: How do I add flash to my content pages?

Hi all,

I have checked the forums for solutions and read the relevant part of the FAQ.

I am having trouble loading Flash video to Forum posts. The video plays, but there are no controls on the bottom of the video frame.

The Flash output consists of 3 files -

Testflash.swf - the main swf
Video006.flv - The main video file
SkinUnderAll.swf - another swf that provides the controls.

If you access the main swf directly, the video has controls but does not seem to size - see here.

If you use the Flash button in the XOOPS editor to add the swf, it seems to size properly but not add the controls - see the forum post here.

I have looked everywhere and tried for hours to fix this. If anyone has any solutions, I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Tim

Content module - adding a second top-level menu item

I have used the Content module to successfully set up a menu item and sub-item. Now I am trying to set up a second top-level menu item.

I created another document but a link for it is not appearing in the main menu. The content page looks like this:

Resized Image

(please forgive the watermark).

The above configuration should be making:
A Main Menu Item for About Us
With a Sub-munu for History of Wonderfish
And a second top-level menu item for Test Cam

Shouldn't it?

The first entry works fine but the second main menu entry (Test Cam)will not show up.

So I thought OK I will simply install a second instance of Content Module - but it won't allow this.

What have I incorrectly configured? I have searched endlessly prior to posting this request.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sending email to users in html format

That is what I am trying to do mowaffak.

I am using 2.3.2b - I will have a look at that hack.
