liase and formulaire etc will allow you to creat custom forms and specify what to do with the info.

You can probably just copy the code from your existing forms and paste it into the module you choose here with xoops.

Xoops has the best of both...it can be 'customized' like Drupal, with you finding all sorts of interesting ways to create content, but, it also has many modules developed that help make that easier!

There's even a new one called Auth(e) that in theory will let you wrap your existing Drupal site into xoops!

Here's hoping that you 'come back'!

first...why would I give you access to my gmail account?

Second, use the content modules to do this.

No matter what choice you make, you are going to have to add all of your downloads to the page or module or form that you choose, and when you have new downloads to add, you will have to add them as well, just like you currently do with the mydownloads module.

In my eyes, wheather you have to type a link into an html page, or you have to go through a series of form entries to add an upload, it's the same thing and takes about the same amount of time.

I simply provided you with a genericly formatted link to your gmail mailbox...you will have to add your own session id to the string anyway.

Good luck.

not useless... just time consuming...
so the longer you put it off, the more users you will lose, or will have to re-register.

Hopefully you use a MySQL module of some sort like backpack...

you can simply do a clean install of the site and use that module to upload the DB back-up that is so daunting, instead of spending the next 12 or so hours breaking out your database structure and content into bite size chunks for phpMyAdmin.

First things first is to put up a 'temporarily closed' page or something to stop the membership growth in it's tracks until you can get things put back.

You're dead in the water right now if the bugs are preventing your site from functioning correctly.

Take a break...walk around...relax...brush yourself off, and get back into the 'swing of things'...you'll be back to the 'way it was' in less time and with less headache than you thought!

Hang in there!

Sart by reading through This Page, and if you find that you are still unable to create a link to a download, you're probably going to have to hire someone to do that for you.

here's a hint:

there are several threads in the forums with users exchanging info on which modules work with 2.2+ and which ones give errors....

You may want to just start by looking through the list and viewing the home/development page of each module to see if the creator has addressed 2.2+ yet.

Article Modules

Also, you can search the News for article module info, as that is where you'll see the 'News' that the developer has updated the module for 2.2+ (the reason I say to search is that when the new versions come out, there can be quite a few news articles in a day or a week, and you may not have seen it!)

Good luck with your search!

I'm assuming that you have more than 50 downloads, as the my downloads module will only display 50 per page....so, use the MyPage modules or iContent or any of the other 'wrapping' modules to make your page with all of the links to your downloads.

This issue is easily solved for IE by going to the options and telling to IE to check for new versions of the page on every visit.
(or simply hold the cntrl key while hitting the refresh button or F5)

ummm....this is the forum for support of XOOPS sites, and all of the 'modules' here only work when integrated into xoops.

That guest book module will do nothing for you unless you install it into an XOOPS based site.

Sorry.

I'll take a look at it if you can post a link to the points hack somewhere. The link below is dead.

No Promises.

Rabideau is correct....

Assuming you followed the instructions to a 'T', you will have a complete back up of your site and database created right before the upgrade. Simply re-load all of those files and that database back to your host or local server and you're good to go.

If you did not back anything up...you are up the creek without a paddle my friend
