Re: Install Error

First, make sure all files uploaded successfully.

Try going to yourdomain.com/install/index.php

Re: Could not register user

I was able to register. Could it be that your firewall doesn't allow http_referer:

Re: Hacked site or server problem?

Seems like your chache went bad. Empty the contents of templates_c folder. See if that helps.

After you delete it should create new cache files.

I don't know if you where hacked, but it could be. Open /cache/adminmenu.php, and if you see extra code at the end, you've been hacked...

You can also delete the contents of /cache (and after login in as admin at least one change permissions to 755)

Re: demo

I think the best demo for XOOPS is this site. But if you want to see more, you can check XOOPS Links, under Community.

Site hacked... how to protect it.

Today someone managed to inject code into my template by adding info into the cash files. The index.html in the uploads file was changed too.

What permissions should be set for the cache folder?

Re: Incorporate HTML site into the Xoops site

I haven't done it myself, but I've heard the module to do this is tinyd or tinycontent.

Do a search in the forum on tinyd

Xoops - coppermine bridge

Did you ever managed that? I could really use a bridge like that.

The main point of my site is the gallery, so I want to be able to use coppermine 1.4 once it's released. Having to wait for someone to make updates to xcgallery is not an option (it would be nice, though).

A bridge would be enough (so people don't have to login twice). I don't know mambo, but there is a coppermine-mambo bridge. Does anyone know if mambo and XOOPS are similar enough so I can use that bridge as a basis?

Thanks

Can users ignore other users?

Can a user choose which users to ignore? In case they don't want to receive messages or read forum posts from certain people?

Re: Notification by email of Posts

Perhaps you can hack the notification script to do what you want.

Go to the forum module and look for the message. I can't find it for you now (I'm on holiday in someone else's computer), but if I remember correctly it should be in the language folder (there should be a mail folder in there somewhere).

Hope this helps you get started. Maybe someone else can be more detailed.
