i have a bridge file for bridging the userbase of mambo to coppermine gallery v1.3.2.

i know xcgal is a port of cpg but it's a really old version and lacks the features of cpg 1.3.2 unfortunately..

i also know bridging just the userbase isn't an integration but integration isn't really needed as such as i can put my site header in the theme of cpg anyway, and i have already modded a custom block to pick up RSS feeds from cpg to show latest albums and images from cpg and show them in a block on xoops.. so that will do fine for me..

but if i can get this mambo bridge file converted for XOOPS so that they share the same user & group tables then it would be great..

i'm not sure if converting the mambo bridge file would be easier than making 1 from scratch or not.. but i've started to try, i've changed a few table names and field names round, but there still needs other changes.. as i'm not sure on the structure for doing the group links etc.. and to be honest i haven't got a clue how to do the rest.. i do things on trial & error mainly..

i'm beginning a php coding course after christmas but i could do with sorting this part out as soon as i can, cos i'm designing a site which i want to launch in the new year but i don't want to launch it till i've designed it fully and everything works as i want..

if anybody could possibly take a look and see if they can figure out a way, it would be apreciated a lot :)

regards

Vaughan

Xoops - coppermine bridge

Did you ever managed that? I could really use a bridge like that.

The main point of my site is the gallery, so I want to be able to use coppermine 1.4 once it's released. Having to wait for someone to make updates to xcgallery is not an option (it would be nice, though).

A bridge would be enough (so people don't have to login twice). I don't know mambo, but there is a coppermine-mambo bridge. Does anyone know if mambo and XOOPS are similar enough so I can use that bridge as a basis?

Thanks
