Believe it are not I think I have solved the first 2 of these php errors in the global file. I had change the time setting in the global.php file through cpanel and that caused me serious problems. I could not log on through xooops etc. However, after restoring the file things were ok. So I change time settings in global.php again with the same result. So I restored the original file again. Then I changed the file on my computer and uploaded the global.php file with time changed the way I wanted and it works fine.
Why would changing the file before upload be different than changing an uploaded file though cpanel?

When I run php debug I get the following error throughout the site.

I don't know what the welcome block is.
When you click forums and go to the forums main page you can look and see based on the color of the x's which forum has new posts.
I want this same information on my main page but do not want to make forums my main page. I want members to be able to look at a glace and the main page to see if there are new posts.
To be honest it seems like this should be simple, but I have not been able to create a block yet that shows which forums have new posts yet.

Yes, I am using the recent topics block. But there is no way to look at that block to see if there have been any posts since your last visit, which is what I am looking for. When you open the forum you can tell which topics have new posts, but you cannot tell that from the recent topics block as far as I know.

After installing your hack I now only get a white page when I click on one of my forums. Now what? I found the instructions hard to follow as well. Please make upgrade instructions more simple. I mean do I copy over files or just run the upgrade php (which I get errors on) or both?
