I have tryed now for a long while to make this module work but somehow I am not lucky.

I installed this module but one part that I am not sure it's about then NETPBM binaries.

I downloaded the "netpbm1.1-gallery1.0-linux2.2-redhat6.2-intel.tgz" from sourceforge and uploaded to the root of my webhosting (/home/username), which is in the php.ini path.

but when I try to upload an image it says "it can not create thumbnail" and the image don't even get loaded.

anyone has done this installation?

So I don't know if it's my browser, but can anyone tell this.. click on the left column on FORUM link (main page here) and if you see the titles of the categories then is my computer the one to blame.

I thought it was an error in the installation, but now that I click on the 'forum' link in the menu, is the same as the one I installed in my site, the font is not visible, ... can anyone fix this an at the same time give us the hint on how to change it to make it visible ?

That was great, Thanks for the help, I would have never guessed where those changes had to be made.

That's great, I could fix that part or specific page.

Now I went to 'Edit Account' and that page too is braking my template, it's due to the 'signature box' and 'Extra Info' box.

I did try to change the 'xoopscode.php' file in the part that says:

function xoopsCodeTarea($textarea_id, $cols=60, $rows=15, $suffix=null)

I changed $cols=40 to see if that changed the text box for 'signature box' but somehow stays the same.. it's there any other file to change in order to make this signature and extra info boxes become smaller (less wide)??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards

If you are in a unix/linux environment basicaly XOOPS don't use smpt/post unless you tell it to do so, ... it works with the sendmail..

if you use windows server then smtp will be the one to use.

you could delete the table in the new one (with phpMyAdmin) and from the old one dump the tables in sql format, then import those tables to the new site (the tables you deleted).

That's an idea, maybe someone has a better approach.

I have been trying to change the size of the box for the registration disclaimer agreement when a new user is going to register to the site. But don't know exactly where to change it.

I tryed to edit the text of the disclaimer with some <BR> but that didn't do any effect.

Anyone knows which file contain the dimension for this box so I can edit it?

Meanwhile I have disable this disclaimer but I would like to re-enable it if I can change the size of the box which is braking my site template.

Thanks.

I have tryed both advises, sometimes I delete all the content of the cache (tempplates_c) and refresh, and this is not changing. about the theme.html that's the file I'm working on, I adapted a template for it and somehow is not changing the left column width.

http://www.abctyping.com

I took all the blocks from showin on left column to troubleshoot it.

changing left column WIDTH

I'm strugling with a site trying to change the width of the left column.

I have a special template, and I took all the width in the left column to try to troubleshoot it but still comes with the same size.

I checked in the style.css in themes/default and found this :

td#leftcolumn {width: 170px; border-right: 1px solid #ffffff; font-size:11px;}

I took the 'width: 170px;' out off this statement to see if something changed and refreshed the site and still comes with the same column width size.

what else is controlling it? I checked the main menu and user menu templates and there is only width="100%" which it takes whatever width size is set up.

any why to find out this?
