GREAT SAVE "jdseymour"! I actually ran into that same problem some time ago and was rather scared I would corrupt, destroy or worst yet delete my tables.

You went through the process very nicely....you should be congratulated for that help!

This biggest problem I have ran into with the Avatars is they are visible in CBB 2.2 (Final), but if you are sent a Private Message, the Avatar is blank (x). And this is in XOOPS 2.2 (Stable) (Hotfix).

Here is the error log from cpanel:

The odd part is there is no (Uploads or Images) folder in the PM section. Should I create a folder for both of these? Has anyone been able to see a registered users avatar in the Private Message?

That is exactly it......I realize we all can make another field for (real name), but as (CiberEspia) points out, your just duplicating the Real Name field....and that is rather pointless.

I know earlier in this post Mith stated there was simple solution, maybe when he returns from a much needed vacation he could enlighten us to this simple solution.

It would appear several of us are looking for this in our required registration field.

Any chance someone has come across a hack for this or a close to simple solution to get the "Real Name" visible for registration?

The later XOOPS version (Real Name) hacks are not working, except to duplicate what is already in XOOPS 2.2.

1). Username
2). PM
3). Email
4). www

showing for registered members. Can I modify the "userbar" to show just these? If so, what area should I be looking for to do this?

CBB and Xoops 2.2 User Menu Help...

First let me say XOOPS 2.2 is GREAT not to mention when used with CBB 2.2! You guys have out done yourself with this OC and forum!

I noticed the user (dropdown bar) info in CBB 2.2, has the following showing:

1). Username
2). Profile
3). PM Email
4). WWW
5). ICQ
6). AIM
7). YIM
8). MSNM

I am looking to remove the WWW, ICQ, AIM, YIM and MSNM from mine. Is there a file to have these removed?

Additionally, is there any way to maybe add some of the fields created in XOOPS 2.2, like location, etc?

Well this seems to be a very difficult subject for anyone to tackle.

I think it probably best for me to switch back to 2.0.13 until all the bugs are worked out with XOOPS 2.2 and all the modules everyone is trying to update to work with version 2.2.

Spending way to many days tracking down errors, bugs and fixes for modules and such.

This is by far XOOPS greatest step forward with the 2.2 version and custom registration fields. Koodoo's to XOOPS team!

Thanks Duke_Henry for the info on the Module Preference. I did see that, but whether I click on "Real Name", "Username" or "Do Not Display Author", it still shows the "Real Name".

That is why I am thinking I may have to do a reinstall to get the date format and the author working right.

I was having the same problem where it was showing "Anonymous" no matter who I specified as user. I'm not sure if this will help you, but check and make sure your "Real Name" is filled out on your profile.

Once I put in my "Real Name" for my profile, it displayed my real name. I don't like that it displays my real name, I would much prefer it to show my "Displayname", but one problem at a time. I also noticed (wf-downloads) does this too as it display the user's "Real Name" for the submitter.

I am sure there is quick fix for this, but I am not sure where I would change (username) for (Displayname)in both these modules.

Not to change the subject, but are you also getting a date of 1970/1/1 for the date posted? Still haven't figured out that one yet. But I know that was a problem when I first tried out the XOOPS 2.2rc. I may have to uninstall news 1.3.11 and try reinstalling to see if it fixes this.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for the advice z_dane, but I really didn't like CBB's format (rss, IP's, and it's general construction, etc). Actually the best format personally, for the forums I have seen was NewBB 1.13. I may try to get that version to work in XOOPS 2.2.
