Theme change

I have a theme in the site that I want to change it to something else.
I downloaded the theme, uploaded in to my site under theme folder, now I don't know what to do!!!
How can I make the theme to chane to the new onces

I did the same thing for BC as I did for Alberta, Quebec and Ontario. for some reason the page shown in BC is not correct. why should it be different and not working?

after struggling several days I couldn't find any reason why the BC portal is not working.
It supposed to be on the directory root without any subdomain. after I fixed the mainfile.php it didn't work.
an even I made a subdomain and copied all alberta's portal to this folder and fixed the mainfile.php, still is not working.

any suggestions? or help?

I'ven't done any installation.
All I did was uploading the files and folders to the new server.
if any other steps I have to take please let me know

I've got similar problem.
I change the server and I'm trying to make it work in the new server.
I upload all the files in the new server and now it's giving me the following error message:

"This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34"

Can someone help me with that please.

combining 4 portals in one website

My web developer installed 4 XOOPS in my site: www.seccionlatina.com for for provinces. in on hand is good to have four different database to keep it separate, but when I want to install or change any new module I have to repeat four of them.
Is there any way to combine these four portal together without mixing the data bases?

Since I installed catads and piCal 7.0 my pages are too slow to upload. is there any explenation?
