newbb2 upgrading problems

All my posts from private forums disappeared when I upgraded to newbb2. The posts are still in the database (browsed it with phpmyadmin), but not displayed in those forums. Any idea how to fix it?

Well, atleast I know the messages aren't gone, they just hide somewhere. I've seen them in MySQL database, although there is no poster field - it is empty. Hmm...

I've noticed yesterday that while the public forums were upgraded without losing any information, the private forums seems to lose all their posts.

I can see the number of posts in all the private forums, who posted last, etc, but when I enter the forum, it is empty.

I tried to sync the forums, but it didn't work.

I thought that maybe I just can't see the forums, but I am the webadmin, so I should see them all.

First of all, I want to thank to all people who developed newbb - they did a wonderful work.

Yesterday I've upgraded from newbb1 to newbb2 on DuneMUD. The upgrade went smoothly, except the templates that I used in newbb1 which didn't work in newbb2, but that was expected.

I am about to move to Linux (Mandrake 10, to be precise), and I need a substitute for the following tools:

1. Dreamweaver.
2. Photoshop.

Are there any good applications for Linux which can replace the abovementioned windows apps?

In addition, what applications do you use to develop XOOPS themes?
