Hey,

I have spent a few days modyifying the default 2.0.14 theme so I can have a cool new theme when i upgrade my main site to 2.0.14.

You can see my theme HERE on my test site, please let me know what you think.

I wanted to go for a clean proffesional look, its nothing fancy basically just altered the CSS, I am a complete novice at this but I have been learning and I am pretty impressed I actually managed to modify the default theme.

It is a simple theme no fancy images, its not finished yet, I am not 100% happy with the color scheme and there probably some tidying up to do just to make it look a bit better. hopefully i will get it finsihed this weekend and I can upload it for people to use(if anyone wants to use my crap theme that is )

anyway, take a look.

Cheers

Hey, ive been trying to mod the default theme for 2.0.14 but I am having a problem trying to get rid of a border around the center blocks, i have tried delting things in the css, changing things in the css, and i had a look at the center block.html file but for the life of me i cant get rid of it.

There is a screenshot HERE to show what I am trying to do, hope someone can help. This is my first attempt at a theme and i think it will be a pretty cool theme for 2.0.14.

Cheers

*EDIT* changed the image link its now working

Hey, I am hoping someone can guide me in the right direction here, I am looking to modify the 7dana round theme from www.7dana.com so i can have the bottom center blocks in 2.0.14.

I had a look at the defualt theme to use as a guide but i am completely lost, in the default theme there is <{$xoops_contents}> then it looks like the bottom center blocks start, it is the same in 7dana round so i figured i could just copy and paste the code under <{$xoops_contents}> in 7dana round but in the default theme there is id="blahblahblah" for the columns i think so thats where I am stuck. Do i have to alter the css file to?

If someone could give me a few pionters it would be great, when It comes to css and smart I dont have a clue.

I have uploaded the 7dana round theme.html file here

Thanks for your help

Use HTML code

<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/yourimage.jpg" align="left" vspace="0" hspace="5">

The hspace="5" parameter will give the text 5 pixels padding from the image.

Dont forget to change your block type to HTML.

Hey, i noticed someone had asked this over at the bbpixel forum but there was no answer yet and I know that m0nty who does alot of the x-ipb upgrades is here alot so I thought i would post the question here, is there an upgrade coming for the x-ipb 1.4 module so its compatible with XOOPS 2.0.14? I really want to upgrade to 2.0.14 as it has the new block underneath content feature which is pretty darned cool but I dont want to mess up my x-ipb forum which has like 2,500 members and tons of posts.

Thanks for your help.

This problem has now been fixed. How? I have no idea it just seems to have magically fixed itself. If my host has done anything to fix it I'll post here incase anyone else has a similar prob in the future.

Hello,

today i noticed a this problem with xcgal which i never had before, i keep getting a blank page when i try to batch add pictures, some of the thumbnails also dont show in the searchnew.php(after i click on the directory to be added).

I turned on php debug and all i get is these error messages

Quote:
Notice [PHP]: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file include/functions.php line 491
Notice [PHP]: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file include/functions.php line 491
Notice [PHP]: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file class/database/mysqldatabase.php line 239

There is more messages listed but I dont think there anything to do with the problem as i see them all the time when i turn debug mode on, there is no messages relating to xcgal itself, MySQL debug also turns up nothing.

I am using xcgal rc1.1 I have tried reuploading all the files and updating, still nothing, I tried updating to 2.02 version still the same blank page when batch adding, so I went back to rc1.1, I tried removing the security patch which i had installed recently(security060523) but still the same blank page. I also emptied templates_c but still nothing.

The user side of the module works fine as does the other admin sections.

Now heres where i need a bit of expert help, i logged into my WHM and it looks like my host(surpass hosting) may have changed or upgraded something but i am not really sure what or if it would affect xcgal batch uploading, these are messages i recieved in WHM:

Quote:
Important Notice: Incompatible versions of MySQL 4.0.x and NPTL based systems.
If you are running a newer linux system which is NPTL based (CentOS 4, Fedora 3+, RHE 4, etc) and are having problems with MySQL 4.0.x (versions later then 4.0.23*), we recommend upgrading to MySQL 4.1.x as we have determined that there are compatibility issues on these platforms. You can easily upgrade to 4.1.x by changing the MySQL Version in Tweak Settings
If you are worried about compatibility with MySQL 4.0, be sure to check the box labeled: Use old style (4.0) passwords with mySQL 4.1. in Tweak Settings.
If you are unsure if your system is NPTL based, run getconf GNU_LIBPTHREAD_VERSION at the command line and see if it displays NPTL.
* 4.0.23 does not have any known issues, but is subject to security vulnerabilities:http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2006-1516,http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2006-1517

I have put in a ticket to surapss support about this also but no reply yet, the gallery is an integral part of my site so i am really hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

Xoops Version:2.0.13.2
PHP Version:4.4.1
MySql Version:4.1.18-standard
OS:Linux

I can also post a link to my phpinfo.php if thats needed.

Thanks for any help, I am desperate on this one.

Martyboy.

Hey, i managed to get a background image to show in a marquee module block, I also tried it in a custom block but i couldnt get it to work, i think it might be because the custom block doesnt have its own seperate template, im not sure though.

Heres the exact code i used in the marquee block:
<table width="400" height="125" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr>
<
td background="http://mjtkop.com/home/uploads/img444cee41bdf8b.gif"><{$block.marqueecode}></td>
</
tr>
</
table>

I basically just added the background bit after the <td tag, maybe if you tried putting your block content inside table tags it will work, i am not sure though.

You can see the image working here scroll down to the scrolling marquee block thats says 'Visionary Lyrics'.
