You guys wouldn't happen to have the files for this would you, the link in the news article goes to a site that is closed for maintenance. Thanks.

thank you. The last teamspeak module that I saw only allowed you to have a listing of different teamspeak servers. Sorry for the redundant post. Still curious about my other post regarding "gdrive" anyone found anything regarding that mod?

slightly off topic - sorry - but am i right in thinking that most RunDMC mods will run on Xoops, given it comes from a legacy version?

That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. I'm not at a location where I could try these modules on a test site. Didn't know the legalities of using their mods in our cms either. Was hoping to get some feedback.

Cheers.

My understanding was that this just lists different servers for teamspeak. The module I am talking about automatically logs you into teamspeak when you log into the site and shows who is already logged into your specific teamspeak server.

Here's a teamspeak module I found for RunCMS and was wondering how hard it would be to port it over to xoops. You can find the files at modcentral.com

Quote:

TeamSpeak module/block Version: 0.1 2003/12/7
: A very configurable TeamSpeak module/block for e-xoops 1.05+. Not only shows who's on the server, but allows customization for different acceses to joining the TeamSpeak server. Registered site users can be configured with TeamSpeak registered names, nicks and passwords to allow automatic login, either based by group, or by individual TeamSpeak login information.

I don't think I've seen this anywhere here on XOOPS (correct me if I'm wrong) but I saw this on RunCMS's modcentral website and was wondering if anyone could port it over to xoops. From what I can see, their system is similar in structure.

Quote:

gDrive Version: 1.0 2005/3/19
: Features:

gDrive is a RunCMS module to store files of any size in your gMail account. Other gmail drives are limited by gMail's max 10Mb/attachment. You may also use this module for file sharing Very cool!!!!!

features
- upload / download files of any size
- delete files
- keep regular emails in the same account
- compresses uploaded files (decompresses on download)
- displays space remaining
- send files to other gMail accounts*
- forward stored files to other gMail accounts*
*requires the other accounts to use gDrive

Technically you could use this module to store 1gig (1000mb) of files however more likely be 999 or something like that.

EDIT: As I read furthur I found that there is another module that would go with this one.

Quote:

gShare Version: 1.0 2005/4/2
: gShare module

This is the gShare module for runcms/exoops. Using this module allows for users to download any file that you have uploaded to your gmail account.

Although this module allows for you to upload files through the interface, often times the google mail server will either not show them or will simply not upload them.

You may upload files to your gmail account to share, by either sending the files as attachments (they will be available for users to download immediately) or you may use the gDrive shell extention for windows located here:http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/GMail-Drive-shell-extension-Download-15944.html

This will allow you to add a virtual hard drive to your computer from within the control panel interface. With this you can create different folders to store the files in and the folders and the files in those folders will be available for download to your users that you are sharing files with.

Your gMail user name and password will not be available or visible to anyone.

INSTALL:

Open the index.php file and enter in your gmail login details, then close the file and save your changes.

Now just upload to your modules folder and install through the admin panel as you would normally.

Now you can share your files with everyone in a secure manner.

Enjoy!

I've noticed that there are a lot of people on the site complaining about a lot of stuff. I think that this may have a negative effect on the core team. I just wanted to let them know that there are many many xoopsers out there that DO appreciate all their hard work and all the free goodies they provide to those of us who don't have the skills or the time to develop.

I'll start by saying that I have used XOOPS for over a year now and am very please with this cms. I find it very easy to set up and even easier to maintain. I like the fact that the core team protects the integrity of the code by making every basic module rock solid. I have made my own website at BornSlacker.com from this cms as well as other websites for friends and families, even a former employer.

Thank you XOOPS core team and xoopsers who contribute even in the smallest way. Your work is greatly appreciated!!!
