You can request an account from Google wave itself. But in this case I've send you an invite. Had one left ;) Bare in mind, this still takes some time before they process it.

Back @ the Lightwave3D forum we have setup a bunch of users using GoogleWave to share info and tips on Lightwave.

Anyone interested in doing the same for XOOPS?

My Googlewave account is ccobben@googlewave.com, feel free to add me. Just send me your address as well so we can setup a group.

Cheers,
Charly

It was the user profile module.
It seems that when you install the module it sets the default theme field with the theme name active at installation of this module.
So, in my case, when a new user registered, he got an activisation email, clicked on it and when entering the website, he just got a blanc screen. The theme in the default field was not set with the new active theme. All other installed themes were not accesible.
To fix it, or to make sure it does not happen to you, go to the user profile module admin. Choose fields and edit the default for the themefield and match it with your active theme.

And the solution (and cause of the problem) was?

I'm very interested since I have experienced problems with registering users through 2.3.2, 2.3.3 and 2.4.0

Ok, it has to do with the profile module.
If I deactivate this the user can still not login, but if a new user registers through the website it works!
I've looked at the user MySQL table and I do not see any difference, but I'm gonna look further.

Now what a lovely answer. Why didn't I think of that?

Productivity is the clue here.
I have tested 2.4RC in and out and it worked for all my needs. Now I run accross something and I ask if anyone has any ideas.
Stating the obvious is waste of space.

My previous error with the UTF codes have been resolved with the 2.4 RC release. However.
If I create a user from the admin, he/she can login no problems. If a user registers themselves, they receive the confirmation email, click on it and they get activated, I can check this in admin. However.. if they login they get a blanc screen!
They belong to the group registered users and are activated, it is, as far as I can see, not a permission problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is the url :http://www.fotowandeling.com

It is in dutch, but has a large REGISTREER HIER tekst top right, it is for registering.

Actually.. I have gone another way. It is always hard to go through someones code and I simply do not have the time for this.
Currently I use AMS for my articles. I've done the following (really crude, but works for my purposes):

I've created a category called mailings. In there I just create an article as always. When I go to the admin section of AMS and view my articles, they now have (under the action column) a mail option. Clicking the button will mail the selected article as html to all users who have registered and requested to receive mailings.
Those who do not have html mail viewer will receive a link to the mailing online.
