newbb2 attachments errors with MS Files

As explained at french XOOPS support
(http://www.frxoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1070&start=0#forumpost5809), we encounter
some mistakes with MS Office files (xls, ppt).
Files are uploaded without any errors, stored in the
correct directory, but are not displayed in posts...
Don't know why ?

I tested without any success
- to switch to another browser (IE vs mozilla)
- to work in prod environment to prevent O/S platform
errors (win easyphp vs unix)
- to use usual file names (without trailing blanks or
special caracters)

Please help ...

hum, I suppose you merged xheadline ex-core module (present in 2.0.x package) and the patch available in this forum for encoding compatibility ?
This one has rss icons in it?

do you use original module xheadlines or is it a hacked version ?
I do not have rss icons in mine...!?
if hacked, where can I download it ?

yes, mith, that's it...
hervé is analysing this too, I reported this to the french community
The only things I know is that I'm using news 1.2.1 and XOOPS 2.7.0.3,spotlight too, and that I have some news with active scheduled dates...
I can't remember from when this occur, I'm not sure since news 1.2.1, but I'm not able to confirm that...
