I found a good free syndication site but i cant seem to get it to work on my site. The only feed i can get to work is the XOOPS feed.. Tried the different formats avaliable and the different encoding types to no avail.... What am I doing wrong?

The site the feeds are coming from are at http://www.prweb.com.. The feed I want is:

http://www.prweb.com/rdf/computergames.xml

You can get to the table of different formats by visiting http://www.prweb.com/rss.php

Thanks!

Nothing fetches at all............. The XOOPs feed works fine, but when i put the info in for other feeds, like any of those from the table link I posted previously, nothing shows up at all, other then the normal menus etc that XOOPS has.....

I do use the hacked xoopsheadline tho I am not sure if it is why it works.

hum, I suppose you merged xheadline ex-core module (present in 2.0.x package) and the patch available in this forum for encoding compatibility ?
This one has rss icons in it?

As stated in that news, this is just a bugfix and limited functionality-improving version over the one coming with XOOPS 2.073.
for encoding options, I prefer change the 'select' to 'input' which allows you to add any encoding that you think valid. (Another way is rss encoding auto-detection, which has been implemented in our local language version.)

Currently if you wanna add new encoding options, you have to change the code.

This is great, thanks alot. I downloaded the update, copied it over the headlines folder in modules, uninstalled and reinstalled headlines, and now the feed works......

Take Care!
