Thnx Tom and per4orm for your answer.
I will explain a little more.
I'm testing the module tutorials, but I can't change the layout. Now I checked first the permissions of the mod-files (because by moving XOOPS to my new host some permissions have changed)
But I still could not get it right. Now I read in the install txt that you have to allow html in comments?
Maybe I'm missing something or maybe I have not CHModded all the necessary files/directories?
I have Tutorials version 2.1 installed.

Aloha

then delete post
endif

Ok, now for the special section stuff, it is done the same.
Find in the block menu a block called WF-section recent articles. Do the same thing as you did with the news block, then it will show up also.
You can decide which one to show up first (recent news or recent articles) by changing the weight in the blocks menu

I was talking about content. Content is handled by/through blocks. A block tells XOOPS where and how to place the content.
So if you place a recent news BLOCK on your mainpage / startpage (like I wrote above) XOOPS will place the CONTENT in that block and you will see CONTENT.
Give it a try

Aloha

Ps: you can see it on my site, tell me if that's what you want.

Ehmmm, let me try it...
Xoops does not show things automatically, you have to tell what you want.
Content of recent news on your front page (healine style) :
Go to administration menu
Choose blocks
choose to edit the block : recent news. Here you can tell how much headlines you want to show, where to show the block, an so on.
Back in the block menu you can choose the recent news to be displayed : in the left, the middle, or the right menus. (the CONTENT will be shown there.

Then you also have to tell Xoops, which users are allowed to see this headlines.
This you can find in the groups setting (also in admin menu) When you want all users (also anonymous) to see Your headlines choose the group anonymous and check the recent news item.

Yes, but for me it is no problem because I use Cjay content only to get my old html-files into Xoops.
For display of these files I will use the tutorials module. So for me it is not an important issue.

Though I've set all the permissions right, I could not change the weight of a file either.

For support you can go to the website : (if you can't find it here on Xoops)
