Can anyone tell me, if XOOPS stores information outside of the MySQL database?

How can I find the array the template functions calls, as there seems to be a valued stored in that array, that causes the template system to stall, half way through running.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Try and assign margin and padding style setting directly to the table you have inserted.

<code>
<table style="margin:0; padding:0;">
<tr><td></td></tr>
</table>
</code>

Hope this helps.

Are your pages being cached? If so, you will not see the changes you have made. Switch off caching in that case.

I haven't used this module myself, but I have noticed with a few modules, that a direct DELETE button often is missing, though one can delete, by going into MODIFY, where one can find a DELETE option.

Maybe this will help?

Open file XOOPS_ROOT/modules/mylinks/templates/mylinks_index.html

Delete the following lines 1-7:
Quote:

<p align="center">
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mylinks/index.php"><img src="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mylinks/images/logo.gif" alt="" /></a>
</p>

Should become part of the documentation. I am sure there are a few people out there, that would appreciate easy access to this kind of information.

Update

"Blessed are those that don't know." Just wanted to post this in the XOOPSWiki, which is easily accessible on the XOOPS Documentation Site. The FAQ section 7, has a page 7.7. Moving your site to a new host.

Well that seems obvious, but there are no changes to the main.php file, as I had been able to verify this, by comparison.

It seems to be rather related to the root/header.php file. Updated: nah, that wasn't it.

Under sys admin, go to Site Preferences. There choose [i[General Settings[/i]. Your fifth option Module for your start page, is where it should have the name you have given your NEWS section (you can change the name in the Block Settings, also under sys admin.

Though this is not enought! You need to check, that your anonomys users (I am assuming you want anyone accessing your site to view your news; also here you have a choice to renaming them to what ever using the edit function) have access rights. This is done in the Group part of sys admin.

Last but not least, you need to have news to display (sorry, just had to type it ).

Hope this helps.
